Wilson, has reported to Council that Wilford <br />Limpert, a member of the Fire Depa.rtment of the City of North Olmsted, while at his <br />place of employment at Cleveland Aa:bsel Division of General Motors Corporlai:ian had <br />performed an outstanding example of his training and alertness in first aid by render- <br />ing to a fellow employee first aid. The fellow employee had been injured in an <br />i.ndustrial accident in iahich his arm was severely mazgled and by reason of drhich said <br />employee was losing a gres:~t deal of blood, and, <br />UEEREAS, 4Jil_FOrd I,i.mpert i.mmediately applied first aid to his injured fellow <br />employee in a nanner sahich permitted the s:a,ving of said employee's life, and as it <br />later developed, unquestionably permitted the physicians and surgeons attendi.ng said <br />employee at the hospital to save his arm; that the medical staff at Cleveland Diesel <br />Division of General Motors Corporation and the physicians later advised th?.ryt the tyXae <br />of first aid rendered was the only type that shrnzld be rendered under the circumstances <br />and by virtue of its immediate application and its type, the employee's li?:?e wassaved <br />and it unquestionably permit'ved the saving of the fellow em-nloyee's a,rm, and, <br />tilHMt y-AS, upon such report, Council unanimously agreed that said fireman, <br />namely aa'iliord Limpert, should be cottunended as exemplifyi.ng the training and proficiency <br />of a11 members of the departm.ent, <br />r;0"tv, THL?.'u2MitE, B? 12 IMOLVED 'oy the Council oi the City of ISorth Glmsted, <br />State of Ghio: <br />Section l: Tha,t Wiliord Limpert be commended for the proficiency of his <br />tra,ini.ng and first a,id and the alertness and ability to recognize the type of i'irst aid <br />to be applied i.n a case of emergency, resulti.ng in the saving of a man's life end arm; <br />that this Council go on record ol' its respect for Wilford Limtiert; and that the Cierk <br />of this Council be directed to forward to Wil=ord Li.m.-oert a copy of this resclution. <br />of commendation.
