<br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED" AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE 2273
<br />ENACTED MARCH 6, 1956, ORDINANCE 2357 ENACTE~9 AUQrUST 21, 1956,
<br />ORDINANCE 2509 ENACTED JtiLY 15, 1957, ORDINANCE 2534 ENACTED
<br />AUGIIST 24, 195?, AND ORDINANCE N0. 2673 ENACTED APRIL 15,
<br />1958, AND DECLARING AN EMERC~rENCY.
<br />WHEREAS, The Finance Committee of Council has reviewed the salaries
<br />of the Building Commmmissioser and Building Inspector and has given th®rsugh
<br />consideration of the easy duties of said officials and of the w®rk entailed
<br />in said department, and has found and reported that, for the welfare of the
<br />City of North Olmsted and to retain said employees of the Building Department,
<br />the salaries and wages should be increased in aceordasce with the prevailing
<br />rates is effect for similar positions and employment is the area!
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY the Council of the City of North
<br />Olmsted, C®unty of Cuyah©ga, State of Ohio:
<br />Section 1. That Section 3 of Ordinance 2214, passed October 4, 1955,
<br />entitled, "An Ordinance Determmining Salaries, Wages and Bonds of AppOiated
<br />Officials and Emmployess of the City of North 4lmmated'~ as ammended by Ordinance
<br />2273 enacted March 6, 1956, Ordinance 2357 enacted August 21, 1956, Ordinance
<br />2509 enacted July 15, 1957, Ordinance 2534 enacted Auga.st 20, 1957, and
<br />Ordinance No. 2673 enacted April 15, 1958, which reads as follcwss
<br />'~3ection 3. That beginning MaT 1st, 195$, the salaries of appointed
<br />officials and emmpl©yees are hereby fixed and determined t® be as follows:

<br />be amended to read as follows:
<br />Section t That beginning January 15, 1959, the salaries of appointed
<br />officials and eatpla~yees are hereby fixed and determined to be as follorts:

<br />Section 2: That the salaries of the Building Commissioner and Building
<br />Inspector sh©uld bs paid in equal semi-mmonthly instal].~+ents os the 15th and
<br />the last day of each and every month.
<br />Section 3: That this ordinance is hereby declared to be as emmergeney
<br />measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the general public,
<br />safety and welfare of the City of N~,rth Olmsted, and each emmergsaey exists
<br />by virtue of the necessity of mmaking immediate provisions for the payment
<br />of salaries commensurate with the duties and the obligati®ns of the Building
<br />Commissioner and Building Inspector currently comparable to simlar positions
<br />in communities in this general area, in order to retain the services of the
<br />Building Commissioner and the Building Inspector of this City whose services
<br />have during the past year of 1958 been exceptionally satisfactory.
