<br />'vJf~1~,REFiS, the Finance Committee of Council has reviewed the pay schedule
<br />of salaries and wages of the Service Department of this city and finds that, for the
<br />retention of employees, sal~a.ries and ~•rages should be increased in accordance ~~rith
<br />the prevailing rates in effect for similar positions and employment in the area,

<br />State of Ohio:
<br />Section l: r.~hat Section 4 of Ordinance 2534, enacted August 2U, 1957, i~eing
<br />an ordinance amending Section 4 of Ordinance 2214, enacted October 4, 1955, entitled
<br />"An Ordinance Determining Salaries, ;3ages and Bonds of Appointed Officials and Employees
<br />of the City of T~7o-rth Olmsted" as v:xaended by Ordinance 2359, enacted Au~~;ust 21, 1956,
<br />reading as follows:
<br />"Section 4: That beginning September 1, 1957 the salaries and
<br />wages of the employees in the Service Department are hereby fixed
<br />and determined to be as follows:
<br />Street Commissioner
<br />Foreman. of Service Department
<br />Class A Labor
<br />Class B Labor
<br />Class C. Labor
<br />Class D Labor
<br />Class ~ Labor
<br />Class F Labor
<br />$5,548.80 annually
<br />~~2.00 per hour
<br />:1.90 per hour
<br />X1.80 per hour
<br />:1.70 per hour
<br />.;1.40 per hour
<br />x;1.30 per hour
<br />X1.15 per hour
<br />Employees of the Service Department shall not be
<br />required to work on the follo~,ring holidays: Paew Year's Day,
<br />T~Temorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, T"r~anksgiving Day and
<br />Christmas Day. Tio4rever, said employees shall be paid for an
<br />eight-hour day at the regular hourly rate for each of said holidays."
