CITY OF NORTH OLNISTED <br />RESOLUTION N0. 2779 <br />Introduced by: Mr. Kramer <br />A RESOLUTION AP~~ROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE HOLDING OF <br />A PARADE RTOVENLBER 22nd, 1958, IN CONNECTION IdITH THE <br />FOR~:AL GRAND OPENING OF THE GREAT NORTHERN SHOPPING <br />CENTER AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCX. <br />WHEREAS, there has been planned, in connection with the formal <br />grand opening of the Great Northern Shopping Center, a parade commencing <br />at 1:00 P. M., November 22nd, 1958, and which parade is scheduled to <br />start at Columbia Road proceeding westerly along Lorain Road to the <br />Great Northern Shopping Center, and <br />4dHEREAS, upon due consideration, the Council of the City of North <br />Olmsted considers such a proposed parade conducive and helpful to the <br />general welfare of the City, and to promote the welfare of the City in <br />assisting and promoting for the public the location of and facilities <br />of the Great Northern Shopping Center servicing this community, and <br />adjoining communities. <br />N041, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL of the City of <br />North Olmsted, State of Ohio: <br />Section 1. The Council of the City of North Olmsted hereby approves <br />and authorizes the Mayor to issue a permit for and to make other necessary <br />provisions by the conducting of a parade November 22nd, promoting and <br />sponsored by the Great Northern Shopping Center, located in said City, <br />which parade is being held in connection with the formal grand opening <br />of the Shopping Center. Said parade ~.s scheduled for 1:00 P. .~. <br />November 22nd, 1958, commencing at Columbia Road proceeding westerly <br />along the northerly half of Lorain Load to the Shopping Center. <br />Section 2. Wherefore, this resolution ~s hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the public <br />safety, health and welfare of the City of North. Glmsted, and such emergency <br />exists by virtue of the necessity of making immediate plans for the con- <br />ducting of a parade November 22nd, 1958, in connection Frith the formal <br />grand opening of the Great Northern Shopping Center. <br />Section 3.
