CITY of NORTH OLMSTED By Mr. RESOLUTION N0. ~ (0 9 RESOLUTION DECLARINf~ THE AMOUNT OF TAXES THAT MAY BE RAISED BY LEVY AT THE ASA3CIM~I RATE AUTHORIZER BY LAW WITHOUT A VOTE OF THE ELECTOBS TO BE INSUI~ICIENT AND D~3CLARINt~ THE NECPsSSITY OF' A LEVY IN EXCESS OF 5tTCH RATE. BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of North Olmsted, State of Ohio, two-thirds of all members elected thereto concurring: Section is That the amount of taxes that may be raised by the levy of taxes at the maximumm rate authorised by Section 5705.02 of the Revised Code on the taxable property i.xt said city will be insufficient to pr®vide an adequato amount for the necessary r equireuents of said city, and that it is necessary for th® purpose of providing additional funds for current expenses of the City of H'®rth Olmsted that taxes be levied on the taxable property in said city for the period. of two years at a rate in excess of such ma~rimr~m rate authorized by said Section 5705.02 of the Revised Code. Section 2s That it is necessary to levy said taxes referred to in Section 1 hereof for the years 1959 and 1960 (tax years 1958 and 1959} at the rate for each yeax of three mills on each one dollar 01.00) of the tax valuation of the taxable property within the City of North Olmsted, which amounts to thirty Dents (30¢) for each one hundred dollars ($100.00) of valuation, in excess of the rate authorized by Section 5705.02 of the Revised Code of Ohio, which is a renewal of the present levy and shall extend for the period of two years. Section 3s That the Clerk be and he is hereby directed to certify a copy of this resolution to the Board of Elections of Cuyahoga County pursuant to the provisions of Ohio Revised Code Section 5705.25, prior to the 15th day of September, 1958, which Board of Elections sha1.1 submit the prop®sal to the electors of this city at the general election to be held November 4, 1958. Such Board shall make the necessary arrangements for the submission of such question to the electors of the City of North Olmsted and the election shall be conducted, canvassed and certified in the same manner as regular elections i.n said city for the election of county officers. The result of the election upon such issue shall be certified to the taxing authority of said city immediately after canvass thereof by the Board of Elections. Section 4: The Clerk of the Board of Elections is hereby directed t® cause notice of the election to be published 3.n accordance with law setting forth the purpose, the proposed increase of rate, expressed in dollars and cents for each one hundred dollars ($100.00) of valuatic~a~ as well a.s in mills for each one dollar 01.00} of valuatiaat, the number of years during which such increase will be in effect and the time and place of the election.
