CITY of NORTH OLMSTED <br />By Mr. <br />RESOLUTION N0. ~ (0 9 <br />RESOLUTION DECLARINf~ THE AMOUNT OF TAXES THAT MAY BE RAISED <br />BY LEVY AT THE ASA3CIM~I RATE AUTHORIZER BY LAW WITHOUT A VOTE <br />OF THE ELECTOBS TO BE INSUI~ICIENT AND D~3CLARINt~ THE NECPsSSITY <br />OF' A LEVY IN EXCESS OF 5tTCH RATE. <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of North Olmsted, State of <br />Ohio, two-thirds of all members elected thereto concurring: <br />Section is That the amount of taxes that may be raised by the levy of <br />taxes at the maximumm rate authorised by Section 5705.02 of the Revised Code on the <br />taxable property i.xt said city will be insufficient to pr®vide an adequato amount <br />for the necessary r equireuents of said city, and that it is necessary for th® <br />purpose of providing additional funds for current expenses of the City of H'®rth <br />Olmsted that taxes be levied on the taxable property in said city for the period. <br />of two years at a rate in excess of such ma~rimr~m rate authorized by said Section <br />5705.02 of the Revised Code. <br />Section 2s That it is necessary to levy said taxes referred to in <br />Section 1 hereof for the years 1959 and 1960 (tax years 1958 and 1959} at the rate <br />for each yeax of three mills on each one dollar 01.00) of the tax valuation of <br />the taxable property within the City of North Olmsted, which amounts to thirty <br />Dents (30¢) for each one hundred dollars ($100.00) of valuation, in excess of the <br />rate authorized by Section 5705.02 of the Revised Code of Ohio, which is a renewal <br />of the present levy and shall extend for the period of two years. <br />Section 3s That the Clerk be and he is hereby directed to certify a <br />copy of this resolution to the Board of Elections of Cuyahoga County pursuant to <br />the provisions of Ohio Revised Code Section 5705.25, prior to the 15th day of <br />September, 1958, which Board of Elections sha1.1 submit the prop®sal to the electors <br />of this city at the general election to be held November 4, 1958. Such Board shall <br />make the necessary arrangements for the submission of such question to the electors <br />of the City of North Olmsted and the election shall be conducted, canvassed and <br />certified in the same manner as regular elections i.n said city for the election of <br />county officers. The result of the election upon such issue shall be certified <br />to the taxing authority of said city immediately after canvass thereof by the <br />Board of Elections. <br />Section 4: The Clerk of the Board of Elections is hereby directed t® <br />cause notice of the election to be published 3.n accordance with law setting forth <br />the purpose, the proposed increase of rate, expressed in dollars and cents for <br />each one hundred dollars ($100.00) of valuatic~a~ as well a.s in mills for each one <br />dollar 01.00} of valuatiaat, the number of years during which such increase will <br />be in effect and the time and place of the election. <br />Section 5s That the form of the ballot to be submitted t® the electors <br />of the City of North Olmsted at the general election to be held Tuesday, November 4-, <br />1958, shall read substantially as follows: <br />THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED.
