S~iERFA.S, the present pavement on Lorain Road is inadequate to handle the type and amount of traffim presently using said Road, also known as Stat• Routs *~~' No. 10, end due to said traffic, the road is rapidly desintegrating, and due to '''~ the type of construction is impractical to repair, making it hazardous to users of said highway, end ~S, i~emtediate notion must be takes for the security sad safety of users ad said Route No. 10 in the City of North Olmsted, the 3[ayor and the Director oP Public Service is instructed to request the Director of the State Highway Department oP the State of Ohio to place upon the Departments 1958 program of re- building State Route No. 10 within the limits oP the City oP North Olmsted with a higher type and quality of construction than exists today. NOW, 7SERF~'ORN, BL IT RESOL4~D by the Council oP the City of North Olmsted, State o P Ohio: Section li That the Mayor and the Director oP Public Service oP the City oP North Olmsted be directed cad are hereby directed, to request that the Director of the State Highway Department of the State of Ohio place upon the 1958 program of the State ad' Ohio, Department of Highways, the rebuilding of State route No. 10 or Lorain Road, Prom the Westerly line oP the City of Fairview Park Westerly to the Westerly lice oP the City oP North Olmsted with a higher type sad quality oP construction than ezists today. Section 2: Rl~at the Clerk be directed and is hereby directed, to forward an attested copy of this resolution to the Department of Highways, Attention: Director of State Highway Department. Section 3s 1~erefore, this resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure necessary to the immediate preservation oP the public peace, health, safety end welfare of the City oP North Olmsted, and such emergency exists by virtue oP the immediate necessity of rebuilding Lorain Road within the City limits of the City oP North Olmsted with a higher type of construction them exists today and that such rebuilding oP said Highway by the State Highway Department be placed on the 1958 agenda for the roeei program oP said Department. Section 4: Wherefore, this resolution shall take immediate effect Prom and after its passage, otherwise, at the earliest period allowed by law.
