INTftODUCID BY Mr. MacDonald ORDINANCE N0. 2b~0 <br />GIVIPdG THE CONSENT OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED TO CUYAHOGA <br />COUNTY F'C7R THE I14IF'ROVEME;NT OF DOV~t CENTER ROAD BY widenin.R <br />and re surf acing <br />at an estimated cost of _27,000.00 <br />WHERF.,AS, the Board of County Commissioners has tentatively approved a <br />construction program for the year 1958, and <br />~iEREAS, one of these roads proposed to be improved is a City Street and <br />also a County Road mown as Dover Center Read lying between <br />Butternut Ride Road , and the Northerly Cit~r line <br />NOW, TH.EREFONE, Be It Ordained, by the Council of the City of North <br />Olmsted , State of Ohio: <br />SECTION 1: That it is declared to be of public interest that the consent <br />of the City be and such consent is hereby given to the improvement of the above <br />mentioned Highway between the termini aforesaid. <br />SECTION 2; It is hereby declared that the improvement aforesaid is of <br />sufficient public importance to the City and that said City is financially <br />able to contribute Ten (10~) percent toward the cost thereof and to <br />pay the entire cost of all changes in water ~:nains and appurtenances required <br />by the improvement. <br />SECTION 3: This ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency ordinance <br />necessary for the immediate preservation of the public health and safety, <br />such necessity exists by reason of the condition of said road between the <br />points hereinbefore designated, in consequence whereof great public <br />inconvenience is being suffered and public travel endangered and delayed, <br />and for the reason that it is necessary to proceed at once in order to <br />complete the improvement of said road during the coming year . <br />SECTION 4: That the Clerk be, and he is hereby directed to furnish to the <br />Board of County Commissioners of Cuyahoga County, Ohio, a certified copy of dQ <br />this ordinance immediately upon the taking effect thereof. °~ <br />~' <br />SECTION 5: ~r~herefore, this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force ~l ~ <br />from and. after the earliest period allowed by law. <br />Passed: March 1 ` <br />~. <br />f <br />~'°' ~ ~ <br />--- <br />CLERK COUNCIL _--- IDENT OF CO <br />APPROVED: ~ ,S <br />OR ~U <br />~~ <br />'~ <br />
