CITY OF NCE?.TH OLMSTED <br />(~ZDINANCE NO. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SOLICIT(~t TO <br />DESIGNATE AN ASSISTANT TO ACT A~S PROSECUTING <br />ATT~.N'EY IN THE F~ICE COURT, FIXIb~ CO~lPENSA- <br />TION FOR AN ASSISTANT SOLICITEIR AND, DECI.AKTNG <br />AN EI~EtGENCY. <br />WHEREASs it has been determined to be necessary to provide an Assistant <br />Solicitor to prosecute all cases brought before the Police Court before the <br />City of North Olmsted and to perform the same duties as far as they are <br />applicable thereto as required of the Prosecuting Attorney of the C'cntnty. <br />NOW, THEREF~tE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL of the City of North <br />Olmsted State of Ohio: <br />Section 1: That the Solicitor is hereby authorised to designate an <br />assistant to act as Prosecuting Attorney of the Police Court and whose <br />duties will require said assistant to prosecute all cases brougk~t before <br />the Police Court and to perform the same duties as far as they are applicable <br />thereto as required of the Prosecuting Attorney of the bounty. <br />Section 2: The compensation to be paid an Assistant Solicitor shall <br />be ~ ~®,~,oo per annum and such additional compensation as the Board of <br />County Commis oners allow. <br />Section 3: The appointment of Patrick A. Gareau, designated by the <br />Solicitor as his Assistant to prosecute all eases brought before the Police <br />Court and to perform all necessary duties incident thereto, is hereby approv®d. <br />Section !~: Wherefores this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure necessary for the preservation of the public peat®~ safety <br />and w®lfare of the City of North Olmsted, ate. such emerg®ncy e~cists by virtue <br />of the necessity of assisting the Solicitor in the prosecution of all eases <br />in the Police Court iaa this City held in the Rocky River Municipal Court for <br />this district and that the Court would be benefit®d by the appointment of one <br />Prosecutor to be available to the public and to the Court at all reasonable <br />tines. <br />Section 5: Wherefores this Ordinance shall take immediate effect from <br />and after its passage, otherwise at the earliest period allowed by law. <br />PASSED : ~,. ~, t 9 ~^ ~ <br />ATTEST : ~ <br />~' ,~,~"-!~ti <br />~~ <br />APPROVED: <br />~~~ i ~/~ <br />~ ~ - <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
