CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />y <br />ORDINANCE N0. ~~~3 <br />By Mr. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE 5AFE7:'Y DIRECTOR TO ENTER INTO AN <br />AGREII~IE[JT WITH THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF CUYAHOGA COUNTY <br />FOR THE ENROLLMEITT OF AN OFFICER OR OFFICERa IN THE POLICE <br />TRAINING SCHOOL CONDUCTED BY THE BOARD OF CC?MMISSIONE~iS OF <br />CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND TO EXPEND THE NECESSARY TUITION FOR EACH <br />OFFICES, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHERE®,S, the Board of Commissioners of Cuyahoga County has made available <br />a Police Training School for members of suburban Police Departments and others to <br />provide additional police training, and <br />WHEREAS, it is deemed advisable to enroll one or more members of the Police <br />Department of this city iri said school, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of North Olmsted, <br />State of Ohio: <br />Section 1: That the Safety Director be authorized and directed to enter <br />into an agreement with the Board of Commissioners of Cuyahoga County for the enroll- <br />ment of one or more officers in the Police Training School, established by the Board <br />of Commissioners of Cuyahoga County, commencing March, 1958• <br />Section 2s That the Safety Director be authorized to pay the Board of <br />Commissioners of Cuyahoga County the sum of Twenty-Five Dollars ($25.00) tuition <br />for each officer enrolled in the Police Training School operated by said Board, <br />and that said expenditure is authorized for the one officer of the Police Department <br />of this city enrolled in the training program commencing in March, 1958. <br />Section 3: Wherefore, this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the public safety and welfare of <br />the City of North Olmsted, and such emergency exists by virtue of the availability <br />of additional police training facilities by the Board of Commissioners of Cuyahoga <br />-County commencing March, 1958 and the fact that one officer of the Police i~epaxtment <br />of this city has been enrolled therein. <br />Section 4a Wherefore, this Ordinance shall take immediate effect from and <br />after its passage, otherwise, at the earliest period allowed by law. <br />Pas s ed s G1~Z'1-GL~°~ t~1, / ~J <br />ATTESTS <br />_~„ <br />CLERK OF CO CIL <br />APPROVED: <br />,-' /' <br />YOR <br />'/ <br />~~7 <br />---.''~~ <br />`-~..-.
