CITY OF NORTH OL24STED <br /> <br />ORDINANCE N0. ~~~ <br />AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE N0. 2618 <br />ENACTED THE 7TH DAY OF JANCTARY~ 1958, ARID <br />BEING AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR SUT3SISTENCE <br />ALLOWANCE TO POLICE OFFICERS OF x,5.00 PER DAY, <br />TO F ,MIT TAX BENEFITS TO SAID POLICE OFFICERS <br />PROVIDED BY S~'CTION 120 OF THE 195l~ INTERNAL <br />REVF~NITg CODES AND DECLARING AN I+~RGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, on January 7, 195$, Ordinance 26'1$ was introduced and adopted <br />by Councils the provisions of which provide for Subsistence Allowance to <br />Police officers in the department of the City of North Olmsted for the <br />purposes of permitting said Police officers tax benefits provided for by <br />Section 120 of the 195. Internal Revenue Codes <~.nd <br />WHEREAS Council deems that further study be given to this matter to <br />permit the proper interlocking of the provisions of Ordinance 2618 with the <br />existing Pay Schedule Ordinance effecting the Police Department of the City <br />of North Olmsted to the end that the City would not suffer any pecuniary <br />loss. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Conneil of the City of North <br />Olmsted: <br />SECTION 1: That Ordinance 261$, enacted the 7th day of January, 195$, <br />be and the same are hereby repealed. <br />SECTION 2: ?rdzerefore~ this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency <br />measure necessary for the preservation of the general welfare of said City <br />in that proper provisions should be made to interlock legislation prepared <br />to permit Police Officers to obtain tax benefits in accordance with the <br />provisions of Section 120 of the 195 Internal:ftevenue Code with the existing <br />Pay Ordinance effecting the Police Department of the amity of North 0]msted to <br />the end that the City shall sustain no pecuniary loss. <br />SECTION 3: ~r~herefore~ this Ordinance shall take immediate effect from <br />and after its passage, otherkrise, at the earliest period allowed by law. <br />PASSED : ~q .,.,.~-~ A ~-~~ e~ 2~ / N J c'~ <br />~fT ,, <br />.r <br />~+, <br />,-~~ ~ `. <br />~~, y ,%'. ~5 ' .' 1. <br />`" ;'' I~YOR <br />~,. <br />.~ ~ <br />,~ ~, <br />ATTESTED ~ `' <br />J _~...~,....^ <br />
