~ ~ <br />ORDINANCE N0. ,~ S <br />BY: Mr. AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING PAYMENT <br />OF MORAL CLAIM. <br />WHEREAS, one David Smedley was hired temporarily as an <br />Equipment Serviceman during the last. half of September, 1957, for <br />employment in the Municipal Bus Garage, and <br />WHEREAS, said David Smedley was a minor of the age of <br />seventeen years at the time of his employment and said position <br />of Equipment Serviceman is a classified position under Civil <br />Service Law and the Civil Service Commission was unable to ap- <br />prove the payment of his wages, and <br />WHEREAS, this Council is of the opinion the employment <br />of said David Smedley was necessary and that he fully and satis- <br />factorily performed his duties in said employment arxi should be <br />paid therefor. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NJRTH OLMSTED, STATE OF OHIO: <br />Section 1. That the Council hereby authorizes and con- <br />firms the wage payments heretofore made to said David Smedley as <br />such Equipment Serviceman, that the performance of said duties <br />were necessary, and such confirmation is made as a proper moral <br />claim. <br />Section 2. This is an emergency measure to confirm and <br />fully authorize the wages paid to an employee as a moral claim, <br />and shall take effect immediately upon its passage and approval <br />by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: _~1~~~~~ .?-~. / <br />ATTEST: <br />__..- _ _.__.~,___1~ <br />E.
