303.02 TRAFFIC CODE 10 303.02 RESISTING AN ENFORCING OFFICIAL. No person shall resist, hinder, obstruct, or abuse any official while such official is attempting to arrest offenders under this Code. No person shall interfere with any person charged under such sections with the enforcement of the la.w relative to public streets . (ORC 4511. ?8, 4513.36) 303.03 ROAD WORKERS; ROADWORK MOTOR VEHICLES AND EQUIPMENT EXCEPTED. The provisions of this Code shall not apply to persons, teams, motor vehicles, and other equipment while actually engaged in work upon the surface of a street or highway within an area designated by traffic control devices, but shall apply to such persons and vehicles when traveling to or from such work. (ORC 4511.04; Ord. 613. Passed 7-7-42. ) 303.04 APPLICATION'TO PERSONS RIDING, DRIVING ANIMALS UPON ROADWAY. Every person riding, driving, or leading an animal upon a roadway shall be subject to the provisions of this Code applicable to the driver of a vehicle, except those provisions of such sections which by their nature are inapplicable. (ORC 4511.05; Ord. 613. Passed 7-?-42.) 303.05 APPLICATION TO DRIV.tiRS OF GOVERNMENT VEHICLES. The provisions of this Code shall apply to the driver of any vehicle owned by or used in the service of the United States government, any state or political subdivision thereof, or any municipality, except as otherwise provided by la.w. (Ord. 613. Passed 7-7-42. ) 303.OG IMPOUNDING OF VEHICLT~S ;REDEMPTION. Any police officer may move and impound any vehicle which: (a) Constitutes an obstruction to traffic and is unattended; (b) Displays illegal license plates; (c) Violates equipment provisions of this Code; or (d) Is unattended due to removal of an ill, injured or arrested operator. Any person desiring to redeem an impounded vehicle shall either pay the required fine or post a bond In the amount set by the Court. The Police Department upon proof of right to possession, shall then issue a release form for presentation to the pound operator. The pound operator shall release such vehicle upon receipt of the release form and payment. of all towage and storage charges . 303.99 PENALTIES. (a) Whoever violates any provision of this Traffic Code for which no penalty is other- wise provided shall be fined: for a first offense, not more than fifty dollars ($50.00); for a second offense within one year after the first offense, not less than ten dollars ($10.00) nor more than one hundred dollars ($100.00) or imprisoned not more than ten days, or both; for a third or subsequent offense within one year after the first offense, not less than twenty-five dollars ($25.00) nor more than two hundred dollars ($200.00) or imprisoned not more than thirty days., or both; provided that when any person is found guilty of a first offense for a violation of Section 333.03 upon a finding that he operated a motor vehicle
