303.02 TRAFFIC CODE 10 <br />303.02 RESISTING AN ENFORCING OFFICIAL. <br />No person shall resist, hinder, obstruct, or abuse any official while such official is <br />attempting to arrest offenders under this Code. No person shall interfere with any <br />person charged under such sections with the enforcement of the la.w relative to public <br />streets . (ORC 4511. ?8, 4513.36) <br />303.03 ROAD WORKERS; ROADWORK MOTOR VEHICLES AND EQUIPMENT <br />EXCEPTED. <br />The provisions of this Code shall not apply to persons, teams, motor vehicles, and <br />other equipment while actually engaged in work upon the surface of a street or highway <br />within an area designated by traffic control devices, but shall apply to such persons and <br />vehicles when traveling to or from such work. <br />(ORC 4511.04; Ord. 613. Passed 7-7-42. ) <br />303.04 APPLICATION'TO PERSONS RIDING, DRIVING ANIMALS UPON ROADWAY. <br />Every person riding, driving, or leading an animal upon a roadway shall be subject <br />to the provisions of this Code applicable to the driver of a vehicle, except those provisions <br />of such sections which by their nature are inapplicable. <br />(ORC 4511.05; Ord. 613. Passed 7-?-42.) <br />303.05 APPLICATION TO DRIV.tiRS OF GOVERNMENT VEHICLES. <br />The provisions of this Code shall apply to the driver of any vehicle owned by or used <br />in the service of the United States government, any state or political subdivision thereof, <br />or any municipality, except as otherwise provided by la.w. (Ord. 613. Passed 7-7-42. ) <br />303.OG IMPOUNDING OF VEHICLT~S ;REDEMPTION. <br />Any police officer may move and impound any vehicle which: <br />(a) Constitutes an obstruction to traffic and is unattended; <br />(b) Displays illegal license plates; <br />(c) Violates equipment provisions of this Code; or <br />(d) Is unattended due to removal of an ill, injured or arrested operator. <br />Any person desiring to redeem an impounded vehicle shall either pay the required <br />fine or post a bond In the amount set by the Court. The Police Department upon proof <br />of right to possession, shall then issue a release form for presentation to the pound <br />operator. The pound operator shall release such vehicle upon receipt of the release <br />form and payment. of all towage and storage charges . <br />303.99 PENALTIES. <br />(a) Whoever violates any provision of this Traffic Code for which no penalty is other- <br />wise provided shall be fined: for a first offense, not more than fifty dollars ($50.00); for a <br />second offense within one year after the first offense, not less than ten dollars ($10.00) nor <br />more than one hundred dollars ($100.00) or imprisoned not more than ten days, or both; <br />for a third or subsequent offense within one year after the first offense, not less than <br />twenty-five dollars ($25.00) nor more than two hundred dollars ($200.00) or imprisoned <br />not more than thirty days., or both; provided that when any person is found guilty of a first <br />offense for a violation of Section 333.03 upon a finding that he operated a motor vehicle <br />
