25 Operation Generally 331.26 <br />r. Excepting emergency vehicles proceeding in accordance with Section 331.19 or when <br />directed otherwise by a police officer, pedestrians and the operators of all vehicles shall <br />yield the right of way to each vehicle which is a part of a funeral procession. Whenever <br />the lead vehicle in a funeral procession lawfully enters an intersection the remainder of <br />the vehicles in such procession may continue to fallow such lead vehicle through the inter- <br />section notwithatanding aqy traffic control devices or right of way provisions of this <br />Traffic Cycle, provided the operator of eaoh vehicle exercises due care to avoid colliding <br />with any other vehicle or pedestrian upon the roadway. <br />No person shall operate any vehicle as a part of a funeral procession without having <br />the headlights of such vehicle lighted and without displaying a purple and white. pennant to <br />such a manner as to be clearly visible to traffic approaching from any direction. <br />(ORC 4511.451) <br />331.22 DRIVER'S VIEW AND CONTROL TO BE UNOBSTRUCTED BY LOAD OR <br />PERSONS. <br />(a) No person shall drive a vehicle when it is so loaded, or when there are in the front <br />seat such number of persons as to obstruct the view of the driver to the front or sides of <br />the vehicle or as to interfere wfth the driver's control of the vehicle. (ORC 4511.70) <br />(b) No passenger in a vehicle shall ride in such position as to interfere with the <br />driver's view ahead or to the sides, or to interfere with his control over the driving <br />mechanism of the vehicle. Passed 7-7-42. ) <br />331.23 DRIVING UPON STREET PORTED AS CLOSED FOR REPAIR. <br />No person shall drive upon, along, or across a street or highway, or any part thereof, <br />which has been closed in the process of its construction, reconstruction, or repair, and <br />posted with appropriate signs by the authority having jurisdiction to close such street or <br />highway. Passed 7-7-42.) <br />331.24 FOLLOWING AND PARKING NEAR EMERGENCY VEHICLES RESPONDING <br />TO A FIRE ALARM. <br />The driver of aqy vehicle, other than an emergency vehicle on official business, shall <br />not follow any emergency vehicle traveling in response to an alarm closer than five hun- <br />dred feet, or drive into or park such vehicle within the block where fire apparatus has <br />stopped in answer to a fire alarm, unless directed to do so by a police officer or a fireman. <br />(ORC 4511.72; Ord. 613. Pissed 7-7-42.) <br />331.25 DRIVING OVER FIRE HOSE . <br />No vehicle shall, without the consent of the Fire Department official in command, be <br />driven aver any unproteoted hose of the Fire Department, when such hose is laid down <br />on any street or private driveway to be used at any fire or alarm of fixe. <br />(ORC' 4511.73; Ord. 613. Passed 7-7-42.) <br />331.26 DRIVING AND PARKING UPON SIDEWALKS, STREET LAWNS, CURB OR <br />GUTTER LINES. <br />No person shall drive, stand or park a vehicle on a sidewalk, street lawn area or <br />the curb or gutter line of a street, except when entering or leaving a permanent or <br />temporary driveway or when lawfully authorized. <br />
