<br />f <br />C IT Y OF NO_RT H OLMSTED <br />RESOLITrIOPd N0. 61 -aC>~ <br />~~. m~ <br />RFESOLUTION RT~'CU'~;STING THE PR~'PARATION BY FLOYD BROWNF AND <br />ASSQC~TES OF D ~'TAILFaD PLANS AND SP~:~GIFICATIONS FOR THE <br />CONST<ZUCTIQN OF A SA~~ITARY SE'r~ER LINE IN GESSNFR ROAD WE5T <br />OF WALTER ROAD TO Th'E FURTHaST POINT POSSIBLE FOR COLLEC- <br />TIOPd AND DISCHARGE OF SANITARY SEWEPGAGE 1NT0 THE SEu~ER LINE <br />CONSTRUCTED IN WALTER ROAD, AND DECL.~RING AN EP~RGEN43'Y. <br />WHEREAS, heretofore Floyd Browne and Associates, Consulting <br />Engineers, retained by the City in connection with the plans and specifi- <br />cations for the construction of the sanitary sewer system for said City <br />have prepared plans and specifications for the collection of sewerage on <br />Lessner Road West of Walter Road to permit the discharge of said sewerage <br />into the line to he constructed in Columbia Road, and <br />WHEREAS, since the preparation of said original plans the sewer <br />line now constructed in ?~1alter Road has been, of necessity, deepened to <br />the end that it could now permit a substantial portion of Lessner Road <br />'~°~est of Walter P~oad connecting to the Walter Road sanitary sewer making <br />available immediately approximately sixty-four (6!~) additional connections, <br />which Council has determined to be more desirable than deferring said in- <br />stallation as to Lessner Road West of Walter Road to the time when the <br />Dover Road lift station and the trunk from Columbia Road could be utilized <br />for this area, <br />NOw, T?~+..RFFORE, BE 1T RESOLVED BY the Council ofl the City of North <br />Olmsted, State of Ohio: <br />Section l: That Floyd Browne and Associates, Consulting; Engineers, <br />are hereby directed and requested to prepare plans and specifications for the <br />construction of a sanitary sewer line in Lessner Road ?Nest of Walter Road to <br />the most Westerly point possible permitting the collection and discharge of <br />sewerage on Lessner Road and abutting streets to permit ttie discharge of said <br />sewerage into the ;latter Road sewer and when prepared, to deposit said plans <br />and specifications, which it is estimated will include sixty-four (64) connec- <br />tions, with the Director of Public Service of the City of North Olmsted for <br />the purpose of securing aids for labor and material in the construction of <br />said sewer line at the earliest possible date. <br />section 2: ?rTherefore, this resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health, <br />safety and general w®].fare of the Gity and such emergency exists by virtue of <br />making available at the earliest possible date the additional sewer connec- <br />tions to the system determined to be to the financial advantag~+ of said City <br />rather than deferring said installation in the area described in Section 1 <br />hereof to the point w~ien said sewer would serve said abutting properties and <br />discharge sewerage into Columbia P~oad sewer. <br />Section 3: Wherefore, this resolution shall take immediate effect <br />from and after its passage, otherwise, at the earliest period allowed by la~~. <br />PASSED : ~I;./,..L~~ , ~m ~ <br />ATTEST: <br />OtJ SE HA ?,, CLE 0 B c ONA , P 0 <br />APPROVED: <br />_ J.
