CITY OF NORTH OLt4STED air RESOLUTION NO. 61 - 200 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY ENGIN~JER TO PREPARE A PRELIMINARY ZONE MAP AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, heretofore Council has had under consideration the prep- aration of a new comprehensive zoning ordinance and the revision of the Zone Map of the City, bringing said map up to date in view of the current growth and expansion of said City, and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed said Zone Map and the comprehensive zoning ordinance, giving its recommendations for necessary changes to Council, which Council has reviewed, NOW, THH;ftEFORE, ~3E I'I' RESOLVED by the Council of the City of North Olmsted, State of Ohio: Section 1: That the City Engineer be and he is hereby authorized to prepare a preliminary Zone Map for submission to Council, incorporating the proposed changes to be made thereon as heretofore recommended by the Planning Commission and Council. Said preliminary map is to be prepared for review by the Planning Commission and Council before the adoption of the new zone map and the new revised co:rlprerensive zoning ordinance determined by Council necessary to be adopted, Section 2: This resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety, and welfare of the City and such emergency exists by virtue of the necessity of concluding the study being made by the Planning Commission and Council of the revision of the compre~iensive zoning ordinance and the adoption of a new zone map required to more adequately meet the economic growth and expansion of the City. Section 3: Wherefore, this resolution shall take immediate effect from and after its passage, otherwise, at the earliest period allowed by law.
