CITY OF NORT~i OLTISTED v ~ ~~~ ~ ~--~'--- AN ORDI°:A:VCE A?~LENDTNG SECTTc)~I 1 of OPDItdA~dCE N0. 718 ENACTED PuLAIr ?_O, 19li7, ENTITLED "ATd ORD.T NANCE FIXII~ CiTRFE6J HOtTRS FOR THE CITY OF NORTf~ OLNLSTr,.D, 4?3D DECI.ARTI~ A~~ E,+IE~~.G ~~FCV, WHEREAS, the Director of Public Safety has reported t~ Council and requested Councils consideration to revise the curfew ordinance of this City, which review is occasioned bit the change of circumstances and the needs to meet present day a4ti vi ties of ;ninors, and for tP:e better. protection of minors and ot"r~rs, and 'wlfiEREA~, Council has given cor~ideration to the requested changes aid finds that said changes are more adaptable to activa.ties of minors than under the pre-rious curfe~r ordinance, and that the need for revision is pressing and urgent, NOU,], THERLFOF~E, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of North Olmsted State of Ohio: Section 1: That Section 1 of Ordinance No, 718 entitled '~An Ordinance Fixing Curfew Hours for trae `Jill.ae of I~to:cth Olrr.Sted", which has since become a City, be amended to read as follows: "Section l: No person having the control and custody of~ or being the parent or guardian of a minor under the age of 16, shall per- mit s Rich minor Ito con~-regate, wander, loi ter, or play upon the streets, sidewalks public places, rapes of amusement and entertainment, or on unenclosed lands withi.z the municipality between the hours of 11:00 F,?~io and 5:00 A.24. tY~e following day unless accompanied by a parent, guardian or a responsi ble person over ?:. years of aGe cr by a member of his fam- ily 18 years of age or o1F~er, No parson having the control anct custody of, ar be~.ng the parent or guardian of, a minor 16 to 18 years of ages shall permit such minor to cor~regate, wander, loiter, or play upon the streets sidewalks, public places, places of amusement anc3 entertainment, or on unenclos ed lands within the municipality between the hours of l2:OO zvlidnight and a:00 AoM, the following d~ unless accompanied. by a parent, Mardian, or a respor~ihle person or a member of his family over ~1 years of age.
