CI`T'Y or~ NOp,Tx oLMSTED t~r~OLUTIO]Y N0. 61 ~ ,: P Rr~OLUTIUN AU`T'HORIZING THE S~ftVICE DIR'Cr.[`OR TO ADVERTISE r'OR BIDS FOR THE FUI=tNISHING OF 1500 TONS OF SLtiG TO THL CITY, .AND Dr;CLARING f1Ns~RGENCY tiv'HER~AS, the Director of Public Service has reported to Council that it is estimated that the City will require approximately 1500 tons of Slag for the purpose of carrying on its planned Street & Improvement Program and which slag shall be of the various sizes as indicated in the specifications on file in the office of the Director of Public Service ;end which requirement the Council deems to be necessary. NO~a, TH.:%~FOR:~, BE IT F2LSOLV.~;D by the Council of the City of North Olmsted, State of Ohio: Section i. That the Director of Public Service is hereby authorizes. to advertise for bids for the furnishing to the City of 1500 tons of slag of the various sizes in accordance with the specifications on file in the office of tY~e Director of Public Service and ~t~hich specifications will reflect the quantities reauired and the places of delivery as needed by the City. Section 2. That this ResaLution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the public safety and welfare and such emergency exists by virtue of the necessity of having on hand necessary slag of various sizes for the Street & Improvement Program as planned by the City, work on which Neill be commenced as soon as the weather conditions warrant. section 3. 6+Iherefore, this Resolution shall take immediate effect from and after its passwge, otherwise at the earliest period allowed by lU,~.
