CITY OF NO:ftTH OLNISTED <br />ORDINANCE 61 - 38 <br />r"` C.' <br />AN OH77INANC' FIXING THE COP9P~TSATION OF <br />THOSE OFFICIALS OF THE CITY `.PO BE ~,ECTED <br />IN 1961, AND D~:LARING AN EME~3.GEfiTCY <br />WHEREAS, by the provisions of Section 1, Article 13 of the <br />City Charter, Council hereby determines that the present salaries for <br />elected officials of this City, shall be the same as were in effect <br />January 1, 1959, and shall be the salaries for the offices and for the <br />officers elected in the Municipal I%lection to be held i.n 1961. <br />NOWT THEREFORE, BE I1 ORDAINS by the Council of the City of <br />North Olmsted, State of Ohio: <br />Section 1. Council does hereby establish, for the purpose <br />of nominating and electing officers of this City and fixing the compensa- <br />tion of those to be elected in the Municipal election in 1961, that the <br />salaries of the elective offices to be j.'illed at the election in 1961, <br />shall be as follows: <br />I~tayor _ X5400.00 per annum <br />Director of Finance _ 7500.00 per annum <br />Director of Law - 5508.00 per annum <br />President of Council _ 1400.00 per annum <br />T~iembers of Council _ 1200.00 each, per annum <br />Section 2. Idherefore, this Ordinance is hereby declared to be <br />an emergency measure and such emergency exists by virtue of the necessity of <br />notifying the Board of Elections of Cuyahoga County of the salaries of the <br />Offices to be filled under the provisions of this Charter in the November <br />election of 1961, in order for said $oard of Elections to establish the filing <br />fees for candidates fox said offices and which filing date expires March 3, 19b1. <br />Section 3.
