C `x~c.-v <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PU~3i.TC <br />SERVICE TO NEGOTIATE WITH THE SOUTHWESTERN SAVINGS <br />AND LOAN C0:~~4PANY AND THE STANDARD OIL COMPANY OF <br />OHIO FOR THE PURCHASE OF TWO PARCELS OF LAND <br />DESIGNATED AS PARCEL No. 1 and PARCEL No. 2, <br />RESPECTIVELY, FOR THE PURPOSE OF INSTALLING SIDE- <br />WALKS ON A PORTION OF WHITETHORN AYT~, AND DE- <br />CLARING AN EMERGENCY <br />raHERE.4S, the installation of sidewalks on a <br />portion of Whitethorn 14~'~~ requires that the City acquire land <br />owned by The Southwestern Savings and Loan Company, which parcel <br />of land is hereinafter described as Parcel No. 1; and <br />yNHEREAS, said improvement will require the <br />acquisition of another parcel of land from The Standard Oil <br />Company of Ohio hereinafter described as Parcel No. 2. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council <br />of the City of North Olmsted, State of Ohio: <br />Section 1: That the Director of Public Service be <br />and he is hereby authorized to negotiate terms for the purchase <br />from The Southwestern Savings and Loan Company of the following <br />parcel of land, to-wits <br />Parcel No. 1 <br />Situated in the City of North Olmsted, County of Cuyahoga <br />and State of Ohio and further known as being part of Original <br />Olmsted Township Lot Nos. 21 and 22, Tract No. 6. <br />Beginning at the point of intersection of the old center- <br />line of Lorain Road 80 feet wide with the Northerly right of way <br />line of Whitethorn Avenue 40 feet wide. <br />Thence, South 81° 34t 00" East alone the northerly right of <br />way line of Whitethorn Avenue a distance of 268.16 feet to a point <br />and the principle place of beginning, <br />Thence, South 87° 42' 40" East along the Northerly right of <br />way line of Whitethorn Avenue a distance of 119.57 feet to an <br />angle point; <br />Thence North 830 02T 55't East continuing along the Northerly <br />right of way line of Whitethorn Avenue a distance of 124.53 feet <br />to the Southeasterly corner of a parcel of land conveyed to the <br />Southwestern Savings & Loan Company by deed retarded in Volume <br />8808, Fage 661 of the Cuyahoga County Deed Records. <br />Thence, North 870 42' 40t' West a distance of 241.43 feet <br />to a point in the Easterly line of land conveyed to the Standard <br />Oil Co. by deed recorded in Volume 8679, Page 32 of the Cuyahaga <br />County Deed Records. <br />Thence, South 0° 44' S5" West along the Easterly line of land <br />so conveyed to the Standard Oil Co.a distance of 20.18 feet to <br />the principle plate of beginning, he the same more or less, but <br />subject to all legal highways. <br />:,...':q.. .:... .. <br />
