C `x~c.-v A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PU~3i.TC SERVICE TO NEGOTIATE WITH THE SOUTHWESTERN SAVINGS AND LOAN C0:~~4PANY AND THE STANDARD OIL COMPANY OF OHIO FOR THE PURCHASE OF TWO PARCELS OF LAND DESIGNATED AS PARCEL No. 1 and PARCEL No. 2, RESPECTIVELY, FOR THE PURPOSE OF INSTALLING SIDE- WALKS ON A PORTION OF WHITETHORN AYT~, AND DE- CLARING AN EMERGENCY raHERE.4S, the installation of sidewalks on a portion of Whitethorn 14~'~~ requires that the City acquire land owned by The Southwestern Savings and Loan Company, which parcel of land is hereinafter described as Parcel No. 1; and yNHEREAS, said improvement will require the acquisition of another parcel of land from The Standard Oil Company of Ohio hereinafter described as Parcel No. 2. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of North Olmsted, State of Ohio: Section 1: That the Director of Public Service be and he is hereby authorized to negotiate terms for the purchase from The Southwestern Savings and Loan Company of the following parcel of land, to-wits Parcel No. 1 Situated in the City of North Olmsted, County of Cuyahoga and State of Ohio and further known as being part of Original Olmsted Township Lot Nos. 21 and 22, Tract No. 6. Beginning at the point of intersection of the old center- line of Lorain Road 80 feet wide with the Northerly right of way line of Whitethorn Avenue 40 feet wide. Thence, South 81° 34t 00" East alone the northerly right of way line of Whitethorn Avenue a distance of 268.16 feet to a point and the principle place of beginning, Thence, South 87° 42' 40" East along the Northerly right of way line of Whitethorn Avenue a distance of 119.57 feet to an angle point; Thence North 830 02T 55't East continuing along the Northerly right of way line of Whitethorn Avenue a distance of 124.53 feet to the Southeasterly corner of a parcel of land conveyed to the Southwestern Savings & Loan Company by deed retarded in Volume 8808, Fage 661 of the Cuyahoga County Deed Records. Thence, North 870 42' 40t' West a distance of 241.43 feet to a point in the Easterly line of land conveyed to the Standard Oil Co. by deed recorded in Volume 8679, Page 32 of the Cuyahaga County Deed Records. Thence, South 0° 44' S5" West along the Easterly line of land so conveyed to the Standard Oil Co.a distance of 20.18 feet to the principle plate of beginning, he the same more or less, but subject to all legal highways. :,...':q.. .:... ..
