ORDINANCE No, 62-i31 <br />Page 2 <br />Section 4: That beginning July 15, 1962, the salaries <br />and wages of the employees of the Service Department are <br />hereby fixed and determined to be as followffi: <br />Street Commissioner <br />Foreman of Service Department <br />Class A Labor (regular full time <br />employee) <br />Class B Labor (6 month probationary <br />period) <br />Class C Labor (additional help em- <br />ployed during summer for ditch <br />work, grasscutting, etc.) <br />Class D Labor Ccar washers, equip- <br />ment cleaners, etc. <br />$6,8~O.OE) annually <br />2,10 to 2.30 per hour <br />2.00 to 2.20 per hour <br />1.80 per hour <br />1.25 to 1.50 per hour <br />Employees of the Service Department shall not be re- <br />quired to work on the folicrwing holidays: New Year's Day, <br />Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgivnffi <br />Daq, and Christmas Day. However, said employees sha12 be <br />paid for an eight hour day at the regular rate for each of <br />said holidays. <br />Section 2: That Section 1 of Ordinance No. 61-102, <br />enacted May lb, 1961, is hereby repealed as of July 15, 1462, con- <br />currently with the effective date of the changes herein made. <br />Section 3: That this Ordinance is hereby declared <br />to be an emergency measure necessary for the preservation of the <br />public peace, health, safety and welfare of the City by virtue <br />of the necessity of making the increase set forth in this amending <br />ordinance effective on July 15, 19b2 in line with negotiations <br />over the past few months regarding said increase; t~HEREFORB, <br />this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force immediately upon <br />its passage, otherwise, at the earliest period allowed by law. <br />PASSED: July 18, 19b2. <br />C~ <br />ip rsstean, reffi ent ro- <br />tm of Council <br />ATTEST: <br />9 <br />Lou se all, Clerk o Councii <br />APPROVED: ,~~ <br />j ~- ~ ,! <br />Paul J.
