.. <br />Page 2 <br />Resolution No. 62 <br />Section 6: That William Andrews is hereby appointed <br />Assistant Clerk of this Council for the purpose of serving the <br />notice of the adoption of this Resolution as herein provided. <br />Section ?; That said William Andrews, as such <br />Assistant Clerk, shall perform such duties at a rate of twenty- <br />five cents {25~) per notice, plus mileage. <br />Section 8: That said sidewalks shall be constructed <br />on or before the expiration of thirty {30) days from the date <br />of the service of the notice of the passage of this Resolution <br />and if such sidewalks are not installed at said time, the Council <br />shall cause sidewalks not constructed by the owners of the lots <br />and lands abutting on Fleharty Avenue to be constructed in <br />accordance with this Resolution and shall, upon the completion <br />of such construction, assess the cost thereof against the lots <br />and lands abutting thereon. <br />Section 9: That this Resolution is hereby declared <br />to be an emergency measure in that the installation of sidewalks <br />hereinbefore described is urgently necessary to protect the <br />safety and welfare of the children and citizens of this City and <br />for the convenience of the general public, and, therefore, pro- <br />vided it receives the affirmative vote of three-fourths {~ 4ths) <br />of all of the members elected to Council, it shall take effect <br />and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the <br />Mayor; otherwise, it shall take effect and be in force from and <br />after the earliest period allowed by law. <br />PASSED : ~~ /•.~,~ /96 ~- <br />Bruce MacDonald, President <br />of Council <br />ATTEST: <br />Louise Hall, Clerk o Council <br />AP ~itOVED <br /> <br />ul J. ~,~eau, mayor <br />~~~ <br />S =l6 _~ <br /> <br />
