<br />r ~-, <br />t ~ F <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE No. 62 <br />a, >E <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2 OF ORDINANCE <br />3153 ENACTED NOVEMBER 1, 1960, DESIGNATING THE <br />ASSISTANT TO THE LAW DIRECTOR TO ACT AS POLICE <br />COURT PROSECUTOR AND FTXING COMPENSATION THERE- <br />FOR, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the assistant to the Law Director <br />acting as Prosecuting Attorney in the Police Court has been re- <br />quired to handle an increased volume of work for the City of <br />North Olmsted for which his present compensation of $900.00 <br />per annum as set forth in Ordinance No. 3153 is not adequate; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Council has determined that compensation <br />for said duties should be increased to $1,200.00 per annum. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of <br />the City of North Olmsted, Ohio: <br />Section 1: That Section 2 of Ordinance No. 3153 enacted <br />November 1, 1960, which was an Ordinance amending Ordinance No. <br />2647 enacted March 4, 1958, reading as follows: <br />"section 2: The compensation to be paid the Assis- <br />tant solicitor acting as Prosecuting Attorney in the <br />Police Court shall be $900.00 per annum and such <br />additional compensation as the Board of County Com- <br />missioners allow". <br />be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />Section 2: The compensation to be paid to the Assis- <br />tant to the Law Director for acting as Prosecuting <br />Attorney in the Police Court shall be $1,200.00 per <br />annum and such additional compensation as the Board of <br />County Commissioners allow. <br />Section 2: The effective date of Section 1 hereof shall be <br />May 1, 1962, and such compensation shall be paid monthly. <br />Section 3: This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the <br />public peace, safety and welfare of the City of North Olmsted, <br />and such emergency exists by virtue of the need to provide for <br />adequate compensation for the representation of the city of North <br />Olmsted in the Rocky River Municipal Court. <br />Section 4: WHEREFORE, this Ordinance shall take effect <br />immediately from and after passage, otherwise, at the earliest <br />period al``l~~owed by law. <br />PASSED: !~a~-c ! / ~6 ~ <br />- <br />ATTEST <br />,- <br />`~~~~ <br />Louses Hall, Clerk Q` ouncil <br />APPROVED: <br />Bruce cDonaid, res dint <br />of Council <br />Paul J. ~reau, Mayor ~~-. <br />-~~... <br />
