CITY OF NORTH OLMSTBD <br />RESOLUTION No. 62" <br />By _ <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE .DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC <br />SAFB'TY TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR TWO AUT01~- <br />BILES FOR THE USE OF THE POLICE DEPARTMENT, <br />AND DBCLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />°~ WHEREAS, the Director of Public Safety and <br />the Safety and Finance Committees of Council report the necessity <br />of purchasing two new automobiles for use by the police depart- <br />ment as cruisers or patrol cars; and <br />WHEREAS, Council determines the necessity of the <br />purchase of said automobiles. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council <br />of the City of North Olmsted, State of Ohios <br />Section 1: That the Director of Public Safety be and <br />he is hereby authorized to advertise for bids for two new automo- <br />biles for the use of the police department as cruisers or patrol <br />cars, utilizing as a trade-in a certain Ford automobile now used <br />by the police department bearing Serial No. 1 F 322 244 772 and <br />that such bids be taken in accordance with the plans and specifica- <br />tions now on file in the office of the Director of Public Safety. <br />Section 2s That this resolution is declared to be an <br />emergency measure necessary for the preservation of public safety <br />and such emergency exists by virtue of securing efficient equip- <br />ment for the protection of the lives and property of the citizens <br />of the City. <br />Section 3: WHEREFORE, this Resolution shall take effect <br />immediately from and after passage, otherwise, at the earliest <br />period allowed by law. <br />PASSED: /-77 c6`~ <br />ATTEST; <br />,,.~-~ <br />~'yLouise Hall, Clerk of Council <br />APPROVEDt <br />. bateau, Mayor <br />~..~ . <br />s~~~1~ <br />Bruce MacDonald, ressdent <br />of Council <br /> <br />u~~.w.:. .~~- ~ _,~.~,~-~_ ,, <br />
