<7) Directional. A .sign indicating the <br />direction to which attention is <br />called wither on the same or another <br />1 of . <br />~~ <br />~u <br />( C) Type f Sign .. Iktaigt~ ~ Signs are herein. classi- <br />fied and defined, according to design, as follows: <br />(1) Flat or Wall, A sign erected parallel <br />to, or painted on the surface, or <br />integral with the wall of any building. <br />(2) Projecting. A sign erected on the <br />outside wa11 of a building and which <br />projects out at an angle therefrom. <br />(3) Marquee. A sign attached to the soffit <br />or fascia of a marquee, roof over a <br />walk or permanent awning. <br />(4) Roof. A sign erected upon and completely <br />over the roof of any building. <br />(5) Poles and Ground. A sign erected on a <br />pole, poles or posts and which is wholly <br />independent of any building for support.. <br />(6) Te:mporaxy. A sign applying to a seasonal <br />or other brief activity. <br />1223.02 Measurement Standards <br />Standard to measure and compute the amount of sign area <br />permitted in the various districts are herein established, as <br />follows: <br />(A) The total area of all signs permitted on a <br />lot in accordance with regulations set forth <br />.• 84 ~- <br /> <br />
