CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDIIVANCE NO. 71- 7 PAGE 2 sewer charges payable as hereinafter provided and in amounts to be determined as follows: ( a) For premises supplied by metered public water supply, the following rates shall apply to be computed on the hasis of water consumption as measured by such water meter, to- wit : $4. 75 for the first 1000 feet or any portion thereof of water consumed per quarter, and at the rate of $4. 75 for each 1000 cubic feet of water consumed thereafter, but not less than $4. 75 per quarter. In addition thereto, there shall be paid $, 25 per billing for each quarter billing made by the City of ? Cleveland Water D?partment to the premises beinq supplied by meter public water supply. For late payments beyond the due date of said billings such rates shall be increased $.25 ? per quarter as a penalty for late payment. ( b) For premises supplied, other than by metered public water supply, there shall be charged a flat rate of $5. 79 per month provided that for prompt payment of such billing, when due by the City of North Olmsted, such rate shall be reduced to $5. 71 per month. ( e) The rates to be charged to users whose premises are located outside the city limits, other than political subdivisions having special service contracts with the City of North Olmsted, shall be negotiated by the Mayor and/or the Director of Public Service and approved by Council of the City of North Olmsted. Any such user shall first obtain the approval of the Director of Public Service before making connections to the System and conform to such requirements as may be presecribed in the regulations prescribed by such Director. ( d). In the event it can be shown to the sati sfaction of the Director of Public Service with respect to any premises that a portion of the water derived from metered public water supply consumed on said premises does not and can not enter the System, then in each such case the owner or other interested party may, at his expense, install such metering devices as to demonstrate to the satisfaction of said Director the portion of the water so supplied and consumed on the premises which is discharged in- to the System, which portion shall constitute the basis for determining the sewer charge under ( a) above. ( e) No free service of any kind shall be rendered to any user unless it shall be brought to the attention of Council or the Finance Director that the City of Cleveland Water Department has had an adjustment in the water charge to a consumer, at which time the ,Finance Director is her eby authorized to make an adjustment in the sewer revenue charge not to exceed $100.00 per premises served by the North Olmsted Sanitary Sewer System.
