CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO. 68- /5"o AN ORDINAIVCE AMENDING SECTION I AIVD 2 OF ORDINAIVCE NO. 66-103 ADOPTED APRIL 19, 1966, EIVTITLED " AN ORDINAIVCE TO ESTABLISH TAP- IN CHARGES FOR CONNECTIONS TO THE SANITARY SEWERAGE SYSTEM, TO PRESCRIBE PEIVALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS, AND DECLARIIVG A1V EMERGEIVCY, " AND DECLARIIVG A1V EMERGEN'CY. WHEREAS, the Council adopted Ordinance 1Vo. 66-103 establishing ? tap-in charges for connections to the sanitary sewerage system for those sanitary sewers whose construction was commenced after February 8, 1965; and WHEREAS, construction costs have increased during the period of February 8,*1965 to the present date ; and WHEREAS, it is necessary to revise the tap-in charges to reflect the charges in the cost of construction. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the Council of the City of North Olmsted, State of Ohio: Section l. That Section 1 and 2 of Ordinance No. 66-103 enacted April 19, 1966, presently reading as follows: " Section 1, Except in the case of prnperty owned by the City of North Olmsted, no person, corporation, partnership or association whatso- ever shall connect any building or other structure either directly or indirectly with a sewer included in the sewerage system and the con- struction of which was commenced after February 8, 1965, for the purpose of discharging sanitary sewage and industrial wastes therefrom prescribed by the Director of Public Service and without first depositing in cash, or by certified check payable to the City of North Olmsted, a tap-in charge determined in accordance with the provisions of Section 2 hereof. Section 2. Except in the case of those sewers of the sewerage system where an aggregate assessment equivalent to the cost of constructing .. an 8-inch sewer, less any City portion of such cost, has been levied or will be made pursuant to appropriate proceedings. Therefore, the Director of Public Service shall not issue a permit for the purpose described in Section 1 hereof until the applicant for such permit shall have deposited in cash, or by certified check payable to the City of North Olmsted, a tap-in charge to be determined in accordance with the following schedule which are based upon standard costs of con- structing a sewer designed to provide immediate local sewer service: SCHEDULE A ( Residential ) Single family residence For single residences located on lots where the frontage exceeds 60 ft. , an:_ add'iYional charge of $8. 25 per foot for each foot in excess of 60 ft. $495.50 base charge 1 -?
