CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 68- /5"o <br />AN ORDINAIVCE AMENDING SECTION I AIVD 2 OF <br />ORDINAIVCE NO. 66-103 ADOPTED APRIL 19, 1966, <br />EIVTITLED " AN ORDINAIVCE TO ESTABLISH TAP- <br />IN CHARGES FOR CONNECTIONS TO THE SANITARY <br />SEWERAGE SYSTEM, TO PRESCRIBE PEIVALTIES FOR <br />VIOLATIONS, AND DECLARIIVG A1V EMERGEIVCY, " <br />AND DECLARIIVG A1V EMERGEN'CY. <br />WHEREAS, the Council adopted Ordinance 1Vo. 66-103 establishing <br />? tap-in charges for connections to the sanitary sewerage system for those <br />sanitary sewers whose construction was commenced after February 8, 1965; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, construction costs have increased during the period of <br />February 8,*1965 to the present date ; and <br />WHEREAS, it is necessary to revise the tap-in charges to reflect the <br />charges in the cost of construction. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the Council of the City of <br />North Olmsted, State of Ohio: <br />Section l. That Section 1 and 2 of Ordinance No. 66-103 enacted April <br />19, 1966, presently reading as follows: <br />" Section 1, Except in the case of prnperty owned by the City of North <br />Olmsted, no person, corporation, partnership or association whatso- <br />ever shall connect any building or other structure either directly or <br />indirectly with a sewer included in the sewerage system and the con- <br />struction of which was commenced after February 8, 1965, for the <br />purpose of discharging sanitary sewage and industrial wastes therefrom <br />prescribed by the Director of Public Service and without first depositing <br />in cash, or by certified check payable to the City of North Olmsted, a <br />tap-in charge determined in accordance with the provisions of Section <br />2 hereof. Section 2. Except in the case of those sewers of the sewerage system <br />where an aggregate assessment equivalent to the cost of constructing <br />.. an 8-inch sewer, less any City portion of such cost, has been levied <br />or will be made pursuant to appropriate proceedings. Therefore, the <br />Director of Public Service shall not issue a permit for the purpose <br />described in Section 1 hereof until the applicant for such permit shall <br />have deposited in cash, or by certified check payable to the City of <br />North Olmsted, a tap-in charge to be determined in accordance with <br />the following schedule which are based upon standard costs of con- <br />structing a sewer designed to provide immediate local sewer service: <br />SCHEDULE A <br />( Residential ) <br />Single family residence <br />For single residences located on <br />lots where the frontage exceeds <br />60 ft. , an:_ add'iYional charge of <br />$8. 25 per foot for each foot in <br />excess of 60 ft. <br />$495.50 base charge <br />1 -?
