ILJ <br />ORDIIQME N0. 7 - I + <br />AUTfiORIZING TfE DIREC'1'OR OF LAW OF THE CITY OF N0FMI OIMSTED <br />TO EMP'I,OY SPECIAL COUNSEL TO ASSIST HIM IN TFiE PROCEIDINGS <br />LOpCING TO THE IS3LtAliCE OF SIDEWAIK NOM <br />BE IT ORAINID BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OI,M6TID, OHIO: <br />Section 1. That the City Solicitor be and he is hereby authorized to <br />employ the law firm of Squire, Sanders & Dempsey, of Cleveland, Ohio, Municipal <br />Bond Attorneys, to assist him in the preparation of requisite legislation and <br />taking of the necessary proceedings for the issuance of $70,900 Sidewalk Notes <br />in anticipation of the issuance of bonds and Qf t'1C levy and collection of <br />specisl assessments for the construction of certain sidexalks in said City, and <br />furnishing an approving opinion thereon. <br />Section 2. That for the services so to be rendered by said law firm a <br />fee now estime.ted at nb43 to exceed $200 shall be paid by the City, together with <br />their out-of-pocket expenses for long distance telephone call6 or otherwise, <br />which sum sha1l be paid from the p:bceeds of the aforesaid notes, if issued, <br />and otherwise from the general Pund of the City. <br />3ection 3. This orclinance is declared to be an emergency measi.tre nscessaxy <br />for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety of said <br />City and 'for the fuz-ther reason that the iegal services herein provided Por <br />are necessary ;o the innediate Pinancing of sidewalk construction necessary to <br />pedestrian safety and conJer:ience; wt;erefore, this ortlinance shall be in full <br />force and effect fror.: and immediately after its passage and approval. <br />?assed: 21h?l , 1964 <br />Pres en o Counci <br />Approved: , 1964 <br />Mayor <br />Attest: <br />Clerk of Council <br />60
