THEOF <br />THE CITY OF NOItI OLMSTED• AND ANY O <br />RESULT OF WHICH, THE AFORESAID CODIFIED ORDINANCES <br />BEC•AME EFFECTIVE AN D TO THE TRAFFIC COODESOF 373.01 to . <br />373.26, 80TH INCLU3IV , OF <br />OOD[FiED ORI7iNANCES AND REGISTRATION 4FD• <br />AI,L RII.ATING TO THE OPERATiON <br />gICyCI,,ES, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the operation of bi o flthe bicyclehrideirs and t?h <br />Olmsted has become a problem to the safety <br />pede strian s , and ers WHEREAS, Council for the s ted, has determined th tit is <br />and pedestrians, within the City of Notth Ols <br />necessary to regulate the operation of bicycles, and <br />WHEREAS, for the immediate protection of the public health <br />and safety, Council wishes to enact the follawing ordinances. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City <br />of North Olmsted, State of Ohio: <br />Section 1: That Section, 09, 1Chapter2373 Part3Three.of , <br />373.05, 373.06, 373.07, 373.08 and 33 <br />the Codified Ordinances of ith t e effectivehdaOlmsted te of t is Ordinance me are <br />hereby repealed effective w <br />Section 2: That Sections 373.01 dified.Ordi a ceslof hee City <br />Chapter 373, Title Nine of the Traffic Co <br />of Notth Olmsted, Ohio, and that Title Nine shall be knawn as Bicycle and Bicycle <br />Reqistration. <br />Section 373.01 Effect of Regulations <br />These regulations (applicable to bicycles shall apply whenever <br />a bicycle is operated upon any sidewalk, street or upon any <br />path set aside for the exclusive use of bicycles subiect to <br />those exceptions stated herein. .? <br />Section 373.02 Bicycle Defined <br />E <br />A bicycle is hereby defined as set forth in Section 301.03 and <br />reading as follows: <br />"Abicycle shall mean a two-wheel vehicle, proPelled by human <br />pawer, having a tandum arrangement of wheels equipped with <br />tires either of which is over twenty inches in diameter." <br />Sect4on 373.03 Parent's Responsibility <br />The parent (s) of any child and the quardian of any ward shall <br />not authorize or knowlinqly permit any such child or ward to <br />violate any of the pmvisions of this Ordinance. <br />?
