CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 64-_ <br />Bl' <br />A RESOLUnON AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC <br />SERVICE AND SAFET'Y TO AD"VERTISE FOR BIDS FOR A <br />TRAFFIC CON1"1tOL CABLE TO BE INSTALLED TO CONTROL <br />TRAFFIC LIGI3TS Or1 LORAIN ROAD FROM DOVER ROAD TO <br />BROOKPARK ROAD IN THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, AND <br />? DECLARING AN EMERGEIVCY. <br />Vd/HEREAS, Council has determined that the area on <br />Lorain Road between Dover Road and Brookpark Road is a highly congested <br />area, and <br />VVlHEREAS, Council has determined that it is necessary <br />to have a traffic control cable installed on all traffic lights within this <br />area in order that said traffic lights.can be controlled according to the amount <br />of traffic using I,orain Road between the aforesaid Dover Road and Brookpark <br />Raaci o <br />TJOW, THEREPORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of <br />$he City of North Olmsted, State of Ohio: <br />• Section la That the Director of Public Service and Safety <br />be and he is hereby authorized to advertise for bids for a traffic control cable <br />to be installed to regulate the traffic liqhts on Lorafn Road between Iaover Road <br />and BroolcparDc Road within the City of North Olmsted, as per the specifications <br />presently on file in his office. <br />Section 2: That this Resolutian is hereby determined to <br />• be and emergency measure necessary for the preservation of the public health, <br />safety and welfare and such emergency exists by virtue of the fact that the <br />traffic congestion within the area named creates a hazard to the public safety <br />and wvelfare of the cftizens of North Olmsted; WHEREFORE this Resolution <br />shall talee effec?t and be in force immediately upon its, passage, otherwise, <br />at the earliest period allowed by law. <br />PASSIEIJ: <br />Francis J.
