w 'M <br />CITY OF NORTH 0I14STED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 7 8 - /VS <br />BY : (.lL-e-? <br />Ak. <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 1229 OF THE ZONING <br />CODE ENTITLED "ADI`iIINISTRATIVE PROVISIONS" BY <br />ADDING T'HEF.ETO A NEW SECTION 1229.04 ENTITLED <br />REFER.RAL TO THE ARCHITECT'[TftAL REVIEW BOARD". <br />WfEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to have the design and location <br />of all signs erected within the City subject to the review and recomonendation <br />of the Architectural Review Board. <br />NOW, THERFFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY TE-IE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, <br />COUN'I'Y OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That Chapter 1229 of the Zoning Code entitled "Administrative <br />Provisions" e amended by adding thereto a new Section 1229.04 entitled "Referral <br />to the Architectural Revieta Board" which new section shall read as follows: <br />1229.04 REFERRAL TO THE ARCHIT'ECT[JRAL REVIEW BOARD <br />Any apnlication for a building permit for the erection of a <br />new sign or modification or replacement of an old sign shall <br />not be approved until the applicant shall first have complied <br />with the provisions of Chapters 1221 through 1229 of the Zoning <br />Code and then only after said application has been reviewed by <br />the Architectural P.eview Board and the Planning Commission. <br />The provisions of this section,however, do not apply to permitted <br />signs specified in Section 1225.01 of the Zoning Code. <br />SECTION 2: That after submission of this Ordinance to the Planning Corrmnission <br />of the ity or its opinion and recorrnnendation, and after a public hearing hereon, <br />notice of which has been given pursuant to Section 14 of Article IV of the Charter <br />of this City, entitled "The Council-Enactment of Zoning Ordinances and Regulations, <br />Notice", and after its passage pursuant to the Charter of this City and its approval <br />by the Mayor of this City of North Olmsted, said ordinance shall be adopted as further <br />provided herein. <br />SECTION 3: That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and <br />after the earliest period allowed by law and the Charter of this City. <br />REFERRED TQ PLANNING COTM2ISSION: Sr,4? /Q. <br />/pZ,f , the <br />Report of Planning Commission: On /y <br />Planning Commission recormnended to Council t a this Ordinance be: <br />Approved: <br />SECOND FtEADING:^ fy /97 ' <br />PUBLIC HEAItING : <br />THIRD READING : <br />PASSED : <br />ATTEST-:,,e <br />FLORENCE CAMPBELL, CLERK 0F COUNCIL <br />Disapproved: <br />D VE ERT, PRES E OF COUNCIL <br />??,? ie-i7-7f ?? dza <br />A4...,e <br />?? ? .
