.?.:......:.?..,.?..,? -.,?, _ <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 78 - 74 <br />PAGE 2. - <br />SECTION 4: That retroactive to January 1, 1978, the compensa- <br />tion to be paid to the following employees of the Wastewater Treatment <br />Section of the Public Works Division of the City of North Olmsted shall <br />be as follows: <br />Superintendent, Wastewater Treatment Plant <br />Class III <br />Class IV <br />$10,000 to $18,000 Annually <br />$17,500 to $20,700 Annually <br />Assistant Superintendent of Operations <br />Class III <br />Plant Operation Foreman <br />Asst. Superintendent of <br />Maintenance <br />Asst. Superintendent of <br />Systems <br />Chemist <br />Systems Foreman <br />$13,500 to $18,500 Annually <br />$14,500 to $16,800 Annually <br />$13,500 to $18,500 Annually <br />$14,500 to $19,600 Annual,ly <br />$10,000 to $13,200 Annually <br />$14,500 to $16,800 Annually <br />which salaries and wages shall be paid bi-weekly by the Director of <br />Finance. <br />SECTION 5: The normal work week for regular full-time foremen <br />in the Treatment Plant, Collection System and Lift Stations will bQ <br />forty (40) hours of work in five (5) days of eight (8) consecutive hours <br />per day, and exclusive of time allowed for meals during the period starting <br />12:01 A.M. Monday to midnight Sunday. <br />In determining whether a foreman has worked in excess of <br />forty (40) hours in any work week, hours on a holiday in which the employee <br />did not work but for which he received pay shall be considered to be hours <br />worked. There shall be no pyramiding of overtime. <br />Effective July 1, 1978, foremen will be paid time and one-half <br />(12) of their straight time rates of pay for hours worked in excess of <br />eight (8) in any one work day and time and one-half (12) of their <br />straight time rate of pay for hours worked in excess of forty (40) in any <br />one work week. <br />SECTION 6: All full time employees of the Wastewater Treatment <br />Section of the Public Works Division shall receive the following <br />holidays off, unless required to work by the Public Works Commissioner <br />in emergencies, or due to a regular posted work schedule, and shall <br />receive regular rate of pay: New Year's Day; President's Day; Memorial <br />Day; Independence Day; Labor Day; Thanksgiving Day; Christmas Day; <br />the employee's birthday; and floating holiday. <br />SECTION 7: All full time employees of the Public Works Division <br />except the Secretary to the Public Works Commissioner and the <br />Secretary to the Superintendent of the Wastewater Treatment Plant, <br />having completed five (5) years of full-time continuous service, as <br />employees of said department or having been transferred from some <br />other department by administrative appointment shall be paid an <br />additional three percent (3%) of their base annual salary, thereafter <br />until completion of ten (10) years full-time continuous service, after <br />which such employee shall receive four percent (4%) of their base <br />annual salary, thereafter until completion of their fifteenth (15th) <br />year of continuous full-time service, after which said employees shall <br />receive five percent (5%) of their base annual salary until completion
