, f <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, OHIO <br />ORDTNANCE N0. 78-? <br />BY : 44,11. \y`? <br />AN OR INANCE ESTABLISHING SALARY RANGES <br />OF INDIVIDUALS WITHIN THE DEPARTMENT OF <br />BUDGET AND MANAGEMENT AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, this Council has proposed the creation of a <br />Department of Budget and Management, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to fix the <br />compensation for members of said proposed department. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the compensation to be paid to the <br />members in t e Department of Budget and Management shall be as <br />follows: <br />A. Director -$8,000.00 to $16,028.00, the exact <br />amount of which shall be determined by the <br />Mayor, taking into account experience, know- <br />ledge, and efficiency. <br />B. The compensation to be paid to the Secretary <br />and Clerk of the Department of Budget and <br />Management shall be in accordance with,the <br />Ordinance adopted establishing compensation <br />for secretaries and clerical help. <br />SECTION 2: The secretarial and clerical help of the <br />Budget and Management Department of the City of North Olmsted <br />shall receive, as a longevity increment, the sum of $25.00. This <br />longevity increment shall be payable over and above any annual <br />salary or hourly salary paid to said secretary or clerical help, <br />at the rate of $25.00 for each and every year said secretary or <br />clerical help has been continually employed by the City of <br />North Olmsted, and said sum shall be paid on each anniversary date <br />of employment. <br />SECTION 3: That excluding secretarial and clerical <br />employees, t e Director of Budget and Management having completed <br />five (5) years of full-time continuous service as an employee of <br />said Department, shall be paid an additional four percent (40) of <br />his base annual salary thereafter until completion of ten (10) <br />years full-time continuous service; after which such employee <br />shall receive five percen? (5%) of his base annual salary, there- <br />after until the completion of the fifteenth (15th) year of continuous <br />full-time service; and thereafter six percent (60) o_f his base <br />annual salary until after the comgletion of the twentieth (20th) <br />year of continuous full-time service, and during each year of full- <br />time service thereafter he shall receive seven percent (70) of <br />his base annual salary as longevity increments. <br />SECTION 4: That all full-time employees of the Budget <br />and Management Department shall receive the following holidays <br />off, unless rec{uested to work by the Director of Budget and <br />Management Department in emergencies, and shall receive the regular <br />rate of pay: New Year's Day; Memorial Day; Independence Day; Labor <br />Day; Thanksgiving Day; Christmas Day; President's Day; the employee's <br />birthday; and floating holiday.
