RESOLUTION 1d0. ~~'~, <br />By; ~~~!f~/ ,dam A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE NECESSITY FOR <br />AN ADDITIONAL THREE i+TILL' TAX LEVY AND <br />DECLARING THE A!'~IOUIVT OF TAXES THAT MAY BE <br />RAISED BY LEVY AT THE ivIAXIMUM RATE AUTHOR- <br />. IZED BY LAW WITHOUT A VOTE OF THE ELECTORS <br />AND THE AMOUNT OF TAXES THAT I~AY BE RAISED <br />BY THE PRESENT ADDITIONAL LEVY TO BE IN- <br />SUFFICIENT AND DECLARING THE NECESSITY OF <br />A LEVY IN EXCESS OF SUCH RATE AND SUCH <br />PRESENT LEVY. <br />i <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE TT RESOLVED b the Council of the City of <br />North Olmsted, State of Ohio, two-thirds ~2/3) of all members elected <br />thereto being present and concurring: <br />SECTION 1. That the amount of taxes which may be raised within <br />the ten mill .limitation by levies on the current tax duplicate of tax- <br />able property in the City of North ©lmsted, Ohio, and the amount of <br />taxes which may be raised by the present additional levy of three mills <br />voted November '7, 1950, for the current expenses of the City of North <br />Olmsted, Ohio, and for the years 1951, 1952 and 1953 will be insuf- <br />ficient to provide an adequate amount for the necessary requirements of <br />the City, and that it is necessary to levy a tax in excess of such <br />limitation and in excess of said present levy for the purpose of pro- <br />viding additional funds for current expenses of the City of North <br />Olmsted, Ohio, an d that taxes be levied on the taxable property of said <br />City for a period of one year (tax year 1953} at a rate in excess of <br />such maximum rate authorized by said Section 5625-2 of the Ohio General <br />Code and in excess of said levy now in full force and effect; that said <br />proposed tax levy will be an increase of three mills over and above the <br />levy of three mills adopted by the electors of the City of North Olmsted, <br />Ohio , November 7 , 19 50 . <br />SECTION 2. That it is necessary to levy said taxes referred <br />to in Section 1 hereof, for the tax year 1953 at the rate of three <br />(3) mills on each dollar of tax valuation and which amounts to thirty <br />cents (.30) for each one hundred dollars of valuation of taxable <br />property within the City of North ©lmsted, Ohio, in excess of the <br />rate authorized by said Section 5625-2 of the Ohio General Code, (ten <br />mill limitation) and in excess of the levy adopted by the electors <br />November 7, 1950. <br />SECTION 3. That said proposed additional increased tax levy <br />shall be sub~titted to the Electors of the City of North Olmsted, Ohio, <br />at the next General Election to be held on November 4, 1952 in the said <br />City, and the Clerk of this Council be and he is hereby directed to <br />certify a copy of this Resolution to the Deputy State Supervisors and <br />Inspectors of Elections of Cuyahoga County, Ohio, in order that said. <br />Supervisors and Inspectors of Elections may make the necessary ar- <br />rangements for the submission of such question to the Electors of said <br />City, and all of which they are hereby respectfully directed to do. <br />SECTION !~. That this Resolution and the question of the sub- <br />mission of said additional increased tax levy are made pursuant to <br />Amended House Bill No. ~.$O, adopted at the Ohio Regular Session of the <br />Ohio General Assembly (1951 New Laws) and the laws of the State of Ohio. <br />SECTION 5. That the form of Ballot to be submitted to the <br />Electors of the City of North Olmsted, Ohio, at said next General <br />Election on November 4, 1952 for said additional increased tax levy <br />shall be substantially as follows: <br />i <br />
