Resolution No. 1667 By I~=r . B aumg ardn e r x RESOLUTION FIXING THE COIuiPENSATION ~~D VACATION PERIODS OF THE BUS DRIVERS OF THE NORTH OL1I~STED I4U11TICIPAL BUS LINE BEGINNINCx SEPT:3~BER 1,1950. WHEt~:EAS this Council desires to fix the comperes a- tion of the bus drivers of the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line, and ~iEREAS the bus drivers have agreed not to ask for any change 3n compensation or vacations except as hereinafter set forth, for a period beginn3.ng September 1, 1950, and ending December 3l, 1951; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Village of North Olmsted, Ohio: Section 1. That on and after the first day of September, 1950, the compensation of the regular and extra bus drivers of the North. Olmsted Municipal Bus Line sha11 be as follows: ,Any person employed as a bus driver, who has had no previous experience or not sufficient previous experience, shall serve as an apprentice for a period of one year. During the first three months of said apprentice period. he shall receive :1.32 per hour; dur;Lr=v trze second three months of said apprerst:ice period he shall receive ,;;1.37 per hour; during the next three months of said apprentice period he sha11 receive ;~1.a2 per hotiar; and Burin g the last three months of said apprentice period he shall receive `~~1.47 per hour; and thereafter he shall. receive X1.52 per hour. All bus drivers wha have served their apprentice periac; shall receive t~1.52 per hour. Section 2. On and after January 1, 1951., each regular or extra bus driver shall receive the following vacation; He` sha11 be entitled to one v~eekts vacation with pay ix! the year following one year of continuous service; a week's vacati_or_ to consist of six days, at the rate of eight hours per day, At the expiration of two years and thereafter, he shall be allowed tvao weeks annual vacation with pay at the rate of eight hours per day, six days per week. After the completion of five years of con- tin~a.ous service, and for each year thereafter, up to ar~d including eleven years of continuous service, he sha11 be allowed one additional dayts pay at the above rate per ~num for such service, so that the maximum number of days for vacation with pay, regard- less of service shall not exceed. eighteen days at the hourly rate of eight hours per day. Section 3. All ordinances or resolutions, or parts thereof, incor_sistent with this resolution are hereby repealed in so far as they conflict with this resolution. Section 4. This resolution is hereby declarea t>r be an emergency measure, the emergency being that it is necessary for the immediate preservation of public health, peace, safety and welfare, and for the daily operation of a municipal department of the Village, that this resolution be passed at once and take effect and be 3n force from anal after its passage.
