ORDINANCE NO. ~_~„~ <br />BY : Mr. -~, _, _._ AN ORDI N~tCE AUTHORIZI NG PAYMENT <br />OF MORAL CLAIM. <br />WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 209$, passed March 1, 1955, entitled <br />"An Ordinance Creating Position of Dog Warden and Fixing Compensation <br />and Bond ThereforTM, provides for the employment of a Dog NFar~®x for a <br />period each year not exceeding three months, excepting that if, i8 the <br />opinion of the Mayor and Safety-Service Director it is deemed necessary, <br />said term may be continued for a period not to exceed slat months in any <br />one year, and <br />WHEREAS, since the passage of said Ordinance, the nuffibers of <br />dogs roaming at large in the City have been unusually large, and the <br />Dog Warden was inadvertently retained on duty for periods longer than <br />authorized by said Ordinance and paid for his services as they were <br />rendered, and <br />WHEREAS, the said Dog Warden has fully arid. satisfactorily <br />performed his duties in keeping the number of dogs roaming the City to <br />a minimum and. has met all the requirements of his office, this Council <br />is of the opinion his reatention on the job was necessary and hereby <br />determines he was properly paid for his services. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, STATE OF OHIO: <br />Section 1. That the Council hereby confirms and authorizes <br />the salary payments heretofore made to said Dog Warden, that the con- <br />tinued performance of his duties were necessary due to the large number <br />of dogs roaming the streets of the City, and such co nfirmation is made <br />as a proper moral claim. <br />Section 2.
