~,/~ ~ry <br />~~ry _ f <br />ORDINANCE N0. 2J~14. <br />BY : Mr. ,1~%2±~~y~t.!/1/ AN ORDINANCE AMENDING PARAGRAPH 1 OF <br />ORDINANCE N0. 209$, PASSED MARCH 1, 1955, <br />ENTITLED TMAN ORDINANCE CREATTI~ POSITION <br />OF DOG WARDEN AND FIXING COMPENSATION AND <br />BOND THEREFOx. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF I~RTH OLMSTED, <br />STATE OF OHIO: <br />M,.. <br />s <br />That paragraph 1 of Ordinance No. 209$, passed March 1, 1955, <br />entitled nAn Ordinance Creating Position of Dog Warden and Fixing Com- <br />pensation and Bond Therefor, which reads as follows: <br />"That there be and is hereby created the position of Dog <br />Warden i n and for the City of North Olmsted, Ohio, and that the com- <br />pensation of said position shall be the sum of One Hundred Dollars <br />0100.00) per month, payable monthly. Said Dog Warden shall be <br />employed for a period each year not exceeding three months, excepting <br />that if, in the opinion of the Mayor and Safety-Service Director it <br />is deemed necessary, said term may be continued for a period not to et~- <br />ceed six months in any one year" <br />shall be amended to read as follows: <br />That there be and is hereby created the position of Dog <br />Warden in and for the Gity of North Olmsted, Ohio, and that the com- <br />ensation of said position shall be the sum of One Hundred Dollars <br />(p100.00) per month, payable monthly. Said Dog Warden shall be <br />employed for a period each year not exceeding three months, excepting <br />that if, in the opinion of the Mayor and Safety-Service Director it <br />is deemed necessary, said term may be continued for the-full period of <br />twelve months of the year, or portion thereof. <br />That paragraph 1 of Ordinance No. 209$, passed March 1, 1955, <br />be and the same is hereby repealed. <br />This is an emergency measure necessary for the public health, <br />peace and safety and to provide a necessary city employee, the emergency <br />being that dogs are roaming at large in the City and causing damage to <br />property and creating nuisances and the control thereof is pressing, <br />and this ordinance shall take effect and be in force immediately upon <br />its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: December 1$, 1956. <br />J <br />ATTEST: <br />"' E.
