N0. ~~~/ BY:: Mr. RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE TO ACCEPT AND NBECUTN AGRF+~+IENT FOR LOAN IN CONNEGTIO~i WITH PUBLIC WOR~3 PLAN PREPARATION OFFERED BY' THE.UNITE~3% STATES OF AMERIOA._ WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted, Ohio, has heretofore applied for ~ loag.from the United States of America, H ousing and Home Finance Administration, to defray the cost of engineering and other pre- `'`' liminary costs for a master plan of sewerage and storm water drainage systems for the City of North Olmsted, Ohio, as set forth in Resolution No. 23.3, passed August ?, 1956, as amended by Resolution No. 23$5 of October 30, 1956, and WHEREAS, the United States of America has offered to make said loan to the City of North Olmsted, Ohio, upon the terms and conditions set_ forth in its letter, offer and agreement of December 6, 1956. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL. OF Tii E CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, STATE OF OHIO:: That, for and on behalf of the City of the North Olmsted, Ohio, this Council accepts the offer of the United States of America to loan said Gity a sum not to exceed X30,000.00 for the preparation of a com- prehensive engineering report, soil test borings, general p~.ans, cost estimates and finance plan for construction of sanitary sewers, sewage treatment plant, storm sewers and lift stations for said City. That the Mayor and Director of Public Service be and they are: hereby autho rued and directed to execute the acceptance of said offer and the agreement for and on behalf of the City of North 071nsted, Ohio ~ and all steps necessary to consummate said loan, and to order the prepara- tion of said comprehensive engineering report without delay. This is an emergency measure necessary for the public health, peace and safety and to immediately accept an offer and execute an agree went for a loan from the United States of Affierica to defray the cost of necessary master plan for sewerage and storm water drainage systems for the City.
