WITHIPt <br />THE CITY OF NORTH OLI~STED, 0 HLO. <br />WHEREAS, this Council and the City Engineer are of the <br />opinion that I.arain Raa.d, State Route No. 14, within the City of <br />North Olmsted is beyond repair, and eras not built to withstand the <br />unlimited and. heavy truck traffic which now travels said highway, <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted recently spent several <br />thomssnds of dollars in an unsucessful endeavor to repair said <br />Lorain Road, State Route No. 10, wit,~tin the limits of the City, <br />and <br />W~3, said Lorain Road, State Route Ito. 10, through <br />its use as a detour during the construction of Brookpark road, <br />State Rout® 1?,, was and is being destroyed by through heavy truck <br />traffic to, fr®m and around the City of Clevela nd due to the now <br />doubled heavy truck traffic using said Brookpark ~t®ad, State Route No. <br />17, and the cvaspletion of the Turnpike which has an entrance Erna <br />said Loraig Road, State Route No. 10, 3ust west of the North Olmsted <br />city limits. <br />NOW TH£REFORB BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COtTNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OL14S~ED, STATE ~F OHIO; <br />Section 1 That the State of Ohio, Highway Department, <br />be and it is ~ie~e~y requested to include the repaving of Lorain <br />Road, State Route No. 10, within the limits of the City of North <br />07.msted, Ohio, in its construction program for the year 195?. <br />Se_ cti®n 2 This resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure; the emergency being that it is necessary for the <br />i~aediate preservation of public health, peace, safety and. welfare, <br />and to immediately request the repavement of a State Highway in and <br />through the City as a part of the Highway Department program for <br />the year 195?. <br />PASSED: September 1$, 1956. <br />ATTEST :,; <br />t } <br />f: ~~ <br />ut ee, erk o Dune <br />Pro Tem <br /><' <br />ec er, es ent o , <br />Council Pro Tem <br />APPROVED: <br />. aungar ner, t ng yon <br />,, <br /> <br />
