<br />wages of the employees in the Service Department are hereby fi~.ed and
<br />determined to be as follows:

<br />Employees of the Service Department shall not be rea,~zired to

<br />ence Day, Z,a:oor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day, howevE~r, said
<br />employees shall be paid for one eight hour czay at the regular hourly
<br />rate for each of said '~Olidays.a,
<br />shall be amended to read as follows:;

<br />'t'hat Section 4 of Ordinance No. 2214 passed October 4, 1955,
<br />and all other ordinances or parts of ordinances, sections or parts of
<br />Sections pertaining to the compensation of employees named 'Herein and
<br />which are conflictinL;. with th.e provisions of this ordinance a~°e hereby
<br />repealed.
<br />This ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure,
<br />the emergency being that it is necessary for t:r~e immediate preservation
<br />of public health, peace, safety and ~•~Telfare, and to imriediate:Ly provide
<br />adegL~~.te compensation for appointed officials and e~~~i~loyees hslding tT~e
