<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2153. <br />By; ~~ Neubauer. <br />A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE AMOUNT OF TAXES <br />THAT MAy BE RAISED BY I~i'Y AT THE MJ~YI~Ui~i <br />BATE AUTHORIZED BY LAW WITHOUT A VOTE OF <br />THE E~TORS TO BE INSUFFICI~+iT AND I?ECLAR- <br />ING THE NECESSITY OF A LEVY IN:&YCESS OF <br />SUCH RATE. (Recreation) <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OUSTED, <br />STATE OF OHIO, two-thirds of all members elected thereto concurring: <br />Section 1. That the amount of taxes that may be raised by <br />the levy of-taxes at the maximum rate authorized by Section 5?05.02 of <br />the Revised Statutes of Ohio on the taxable property i.n the City of North <br />0].msted x.11 be insufficient to provide adequate amount for the necessary <br />requirements of said City and that it is necessary for the purpose of <br />prmvid~g additional funds for recreational purposes that taxes be levied. <br />on the gable property in said City for the period of five years at a <br />rat® in excess of such maximum rate authorized by Section 5?05.02 of <br />the Revised Statutes of Ohio. <br />Section 2. That it is necessary to levy taxes for the years <br />1956, 1957,~5~,~559 and 1960 at the rats for each pear of five-tenths <br />(.5) of a mill on each dollar of the tax valuation, which a~aounts to five <br />cents (5¢} for each one hundred dollars (~100.00j of valuation of the <br />taxable property within the City of Nr~rth Olmsted in excess of the rate <br />authorized by Section 5705.02. of the Revised Statutes of Ohio, which is a <br />renewal of the present levy to the extent of fort -one hundredths (.1~1) <br />of a mill and an increase of nine hundredths (.09~ of a mill to consti- <br />tute a tag. of five-tenths (.5} of a mill to run for five years. <br />Se~~ That said proposed tax levy shall be submitted <br />to the Electors o e City of North Olmsted, Ohio, at the next General <br />Election to be held on November $, 1955 in the said City, and the Clerk <br />of this Council be and he is hereby directed to certify a copy of this <br />Resolution to the Deputy State Supervisors and Inspectors of Elections <br />of Cuyahoga County, Ohio, in order that said Supervisors and Inspectors <br />of Electiass may make the necessary arrangements for the subasi.ssion of <br />such question to the Electors of said City, and all of which they are <br />hereby respectfully directed to do. <br />Section That the form of Ballot to be submitted to the <br />Electors owe ity of North Olmsted, Ohio, at said next General <br />Election on November $, 1955, shall read substantially as follows: <br />PROPOSED TAX LEVY <br />A Sixty Percent Affirmative Vote is Required for <br />Passage <br />~. <br />t.,:a,., <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, OHIO <br />A renewal of forty-one hundredths (.~.1} of a mill and an increase of <br />nine hundredths (.O9} of a mill to constitute a tax for the benefit <br />of the City of North-Olmsted for the purpose of providing funds for <br />recreational purposes at a rate not exceeding five-tenths (.5} of a <br />mill for each dollar of valuation which amounts to five cents t5¢) <br />for each one hundred dollars (10t~.00) of valuation, for each of the <br />years 195b, 195?, 195$, 1959 and 1960. <br />FOR THE TA% LEVY <br />AGAINST THE TAg LEVY <br /> <br />
