A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE AMOUNT OF TAXES THAT MAy BE RAISED BY I~i'Y AT THE MJ~YI~Ui~i BATE AUTHORIZED BY LAW WITHOUT A VOTE OF THE E~TORS TO BE INSUFFICI~+iT AND I?ECLAR- ING THE NECESSITY OF A LEVY IN:&YCESS OF SUCH RATE. (Recreation) BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OUSTED, STATE OF OHIO, two-thirds of all members elected thereto concurring: Section 1. That the amount of taxes that may be raised by the levy of-taxes at the maximum rate authorized by Section 5?05.02 of the Revised Statutes of Ohio on the taxable property i.n the City of North 0].msted x.11 be insufficient to provide adequate amount for the necessary requirements of said City and that it is necessary for the purpose of prmvid~g additional funds for recreational purposes that taxes be levied. on the gable property in said City for the period of five years at a rat® in excess of such maximum rate authorized by Section 5?05.02 of the Revised Statutes of Ohio. Section 2. That it is necessary to levy taxes for the years 1956, 1957,~5~,~559 and 1960 at the rats for each pear of five-tenths (.5) of a mill on each dollar of the tax valuation, which a~aounts to five cents (5¢} for each one hundred dollars (~100.00j of valuation of the taxable property within the City of Nr~rth Olmsted in excess of the rate authorized by Section 5705.02. of the Revised Statutes of Ohio, which is a renewal of the present levy to the extent of fort -one hundredths (.1~1) of a mill and an increase of nine hundredths (.09~ of a mill to consti- tute a tag. of five-tenths (.5} of a mill to run for five years. Se~~ That said proposed tax levy shall be submitted to the Electors o e City of North Olmsted, Ohio, at the next General Election to be held on November $, 1955 in the said City, and the Clerk of this Council be and he is hereby directed to certify a copy of this Resolution to the Deputy State Supervisors and Inspectors of Elections of Cuyahoga County, Ohio, in order that said Supervisors and Inspectors of Electiass may make the necessary arrangements for the subasi.ssion of such question to the Electors of said City, and all of which they are hereby respectfully directed to do. Section That the form of Ballot to be submitted to the Electors owe ity of North Olmsted, Ohio, at said next General Election on November $, 1955, shall read substantially as follows: PROPOSED TAX LEVY A Sixty Percent Affirmative Vote is Required for Passage ~. t.,:a,., CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, OHIO A renewal of forty-one hundredths (.~.1} of a mill and an increase of nine hundredths (.O9} of a mill to constitute a tax for the benefit of the City of North-Olmsted for the purpose of providing funds for recreational purposes at a rate not exceeding five-tenths (.5} of a mill for each dollar of valuation which amounts to five cents t5¢) for each one hundred dollars (10t~.00) of valuation, for each of the years 195b, 195?, 195$, 1959 and 1960.
