RESOLUTIONV N0. ~ r ~ ~ <br />BY: Mr, ~~-~~u~ti RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SAFETY-SERVICE <br />DIRECTOR TO PROCEED WITH THE PURCHASE <br />OF REAL ESTATE TO ESTABLISH MUNICIPAL <br />WASTE DISPOSAL LAND FILL FACILITIES. <br />WHEREAS, this Council has been advised that previous <br />arrangements for the disposal of waste materials of our citizens <br />here bees cancelled, and this Council believes it to be conducive <br />to the public health, peace, safety and welfare to provide a site <br />for the disposal of said waste materials in a proper and sanitary <br />manner, and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Control has recommended the selection <br />of parcels of land suitable for such future disposal of waste materials, <br />and this Council approves such selections and that the same will be for <br />the best interests of the City. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, STKTE OF OHIO: <br />That the Safety-Service Director be authorized and directed <br />to proceed with the purchase of the following generally described <br />parcels of real estate in the City of North Olmsted, County of Cuya- <br />hoga and State of Ohio, to wit: <br />A gacant parcel of land of about $ acres as shown <br />in Book of Maps 232-30, item 2, Cuyahoga County <br />Map Records, in name of William J. Jenkins. <br />A vacant parcel of land having a frontage of about <br />2$ feet on the west side of Columbia Road, North <br />Olmsted, Ohio, and extending back about 500 feet <br />to the proposed Root Road, thence widening out to <br />about 330 feet; total land consisting of about <br />12.5 acres and known as parcel 231-32-1, in name <br />of Nellie Reinart. <br />Grantors are to furnish good and sufficient warranty deeds <br />to said parcels, in fee simple, free and clear of all incwnbrances <br />whatsoever, except current taxes and assessments, which are to be <br />pro-rated as of the date of transfer. <br />The So lieitor is directed to carry out all requirements <br />to obtain said fee simple titles and is authorized to obtain the <br />proper descriptions of said premises, cause a title search to be <br />made of said properties. The City is to pay the expense of the <br />transfer of said parcels and title bonds and the cost of necessary <br />documentary stamps. <br />The Solicitor is directed to prepare the legislation <br />necessary to sell councilmanic notes in anticipation of the issuance <br />of councilmanic bonds for the purchase of said parcels of real estate. <br />The Auditor is authorized and directed to pay the considerations of <br />said purchases of X2,500.00 for the Jenkins parcel and X6,300.00 for <br />the Reinart parcel, payable X100,00 upon signing of the option to each <br />owner and the balances, when the abstract company certifies the title <br />good in the City of North Olmsted, Ohio, from the proceeds of said an- <br />ticipatory notes. <br />This is an emergency ~ snore necessary for the public health, <br />peace, safety and welfare and to provide necessary real estate far mun- <br />icipal waste disposal land fill facilities. <br /> <br />PASSED: June %~,_ ~,9~5„ <br />ATTEST: <br />E.
