<br />RESOLUTION N0. 213Q. <br />BY: Mr. Kramer. RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SAFETY-SERVICE <br />DIRECTOR TO PROCEED WITH THE PURCHASE <br />OF REAL ESTATE FOR SITE OF FUTURE CON- <br />STRUCTION OF FIREHOUSE. <br />WHEREAS the electors of the City of North Olmsted, Ohio, <br />approved a ~50,00~.00 bond issue for the purpose of acquiring real <br />estate for the future construction of fire houses and the purchase <br />of fire apparatus, at the November 2nd, 1954 general election, and <br />WHEREAS, the Safety Committee of this Council has recom- <br />mended the selection of a parcel of land suitable for such future <br />construction of afire house at the east end of the City, and this <br />Council approves such selection and that the selection of the pro- <br />posed site will be for the best interests of the City, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, STATE OF OHIO: <br />That the Safety-Service Director be authorized and directed <br />to proceed with the purchase of the following generally described real <br />estate in the City of North Olmsted, County of Cuyahoga and State of <br />Ohio, to wit: <br />One hundred eighteen feet (11$) frontage on the <br />northerly side of Lorain Road, west of Columbia Rd., <br />now owned by Eugene Haettich and wife. <br />Grantor is to furnish a good and sufficient warranty deed <br />to said parcel, in fee simple, free and clear of all encumbrances <br />whatsoever, except current taxes and assessments, which are to be <br />pro-rated as of the date of transfer. <br />The Solicitor is directed to carry out all requirements <br />to obtain said fee simple title and is authorized to obtain the <br />proper description of said premises, cause a title search to be made <br />of said property. The City is to pay the expense of the transfer <br />of said parcel and title bond and the cost of documentary stamps. <br />The Auditor is authorized and directed to ay the considera- <br />tion of said purchase at the rate of Fifty Dollars (50.00) per foot <br />frontage or a total consideration of Five Thousand Nine Hundred Thirty <br />Seven & 50/100 Dollars 05,937.50), payable One Hundred Dollars 0100.00) <br />upon signing of the option, and the balance of Five Thousand Eight Hun- <br />dred Thirty Seven 8c 50,100 Dollars {5,$37.50), when the abstract com- <br />pany certifies the title good in the City of North Olmsted, Ohio, from <br />the fund created from the sale of the bonds hereinbefore mentioned. <br />This is an emergency measure necessary for the public health, <br />peace, safety and welfare and to provide necessary real estate for the <br />future construction of afire house. <br />PASSED: April 11, 1955. <br />ATTEST: <br />,~.. .~ <br />,~--~ ,-~ <br />.
