RESOLUTION NO. ~ ~ .a ~ <br />BY: Mr. $ESOLUTION P80TESTING THE EDtAC~+1ENT <br />of S. & 33~. OHIO GENERAI. ASSF~MBLY, <br />PROI~IBITING ~OBBYING BY THE OHIO <br />MUNICIP~ LEAGUE. <br />WHEREAS., it has been brought to the attention of the <br />Council of .the City of North O7.aa<sted, Ohio, that Sub. S. B. 33~. has <br />been offered before the Ohio Legislature and committee meetings on <br />said bill are nor in progress; and <br />WHEREAS, said bill would prohibit any municipality frame <br />snppArting, payimg dues to, or otherwise providing funds for organ- <br />i$ations wlei.ch, in part, or in total, attempt to influence legislation <br />pe+ndia~g before the General Assembly, ani. <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted is a member of the Ohio <br />Municipal League, one of wrhose purposes is to propose or to present <br />a coordinated legislative program and to analyse legislative proposals <br />and to protest legislation detrimental to the Ohio cities and villages, <br />ani <br />WHEREAS, such legislations if passeet, would be discriminatory <br />against the cities and 9illages of the State of Ohio in favor of other <br />governmental agencies. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, STATE OF OHIO: <br />Section l., The City Council of the City of North Olmsted, <br />Ohio, hereby protests against the enactment of any such legislative <br />as proposed by Sub. S. B. 331 and respectfully requests the members <br />of the Ohio General Assembly representing this region, to appose the <br />same. <br />Section 2 That a copy of this $esolution be sent by the <br />Clerk to t e aaieaa er-s of the Ohio House and Senate representing Cuya- <br />hoga County; the Ghairtan of the Cities Coa~ittee, greet L. Hoffman; <br />and to the President Pro Teas C.
