ORDINxIdCE N0. 209$ <br />.~ <br />BY: Mr. ~; ',_,_ AID OftD1TdANCE CT~EATINC POSI`!'ION OF <br />DOG WARDEN AND FIgING COMPENSATION <br />AND BOr?D THEREFOR. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIy OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />O~NiSTED, STATE OF OHIO: <br />That there be and is hereby created the position of <br />Dog Warden in and for the City of North Olmsted, Ohio, and that <br />the compensation of said position shall be the sum of One Hundred <br />Dollars 0100.00) per month; payable monthly. Said Dog Warden <br />shall be employed for a period each year not exceeding three <br />months excepting that if, in the opinion of the N~a.yor and Safety- <br />Serva.ce Director it is deemed necessary, said term may be continued <br />for a period not to exceed six months in any one year. <br />That said Dog Warden shall be deputized by the Chief of <br />Police of the City and shall furnish a bond in the sum of ~1~000.00 <br />payable to the City of North Olmsted, Ohio, insuring it against any <br />qnd all liability because of said employmprt. <br />That said Dog Warden shall be on duty at least one full <br />day each vreek in apprehending dogs within the limits of the City of <br />North Olmsted, Ohio and shall answer and take care of any and all <br />complaints pertaining to dogs roaming at large in the City. <br />This is an emergency measure necessary for the public <br />healthy peace and safety and to provide a necessar~r city employee, <br />the emergency being that dogs are roaming at large in the City <br />and causing damage to property and creating nuisar_ces and the ccn- <br />trol thereof is pressing, and this ordinance shall take effect and <br />be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASS~Ds March 1, 1955• <br />ATTEST : ~~° <br />.._ _ ~ <br />E~.
