RESOLUTION Pd0. +~e ~ l" L , <br />BY : N~ ___/~~ ~` = ` RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SAFETY-SERVICE <br />DIRECTOR TO PROCEED WITH THE' PURCHASE <br />OF 'i'AL ESTATE FOR SITE OF FUTURE CON- <br />STRUCTION OF FIREHOUSE. <br />WHEREAS the electors of the City of North Olmsted, Ohio, <br />approved a ~50,00~.0o bond issue for the purpose of acquiring real <br />estate for the future construction of fire houses and the purchase <br />of fire avparatus, at the November 2nd, 1954 general election, and <br />WHEREAS, the Safety Committee of this Council has rseoffi- <br />mended the selection of a parcel of land suitable for such future <br />construction of a firs house at the west end of the City, and this <br />Council approves such selection and that the selection of the pro- <br />posed site will be for the best interests of the City. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, STATE OF OHIO: <br />That the S~.fety-Service Director be authorised and directed <br />to proceed with the purchase of the following described real estate in <br />the City of North Olmsted, County of Cuyahoga and State of Ohio, to <br />wit: <br />Ninety feet (90) frontage on the northerly side of <br />Lorain Road, measurod easterly from the westerly <br />line of property now owned by Ruth Gould, and between <br />parallel lines from said westerly line to the rear <br />line of said premises. <br />Grantor is to furnish a good and sufficient v~rarranty deed <br />to said parcel, in fee simple, free and clear of all encumbrances <br />whatsoever, e~tcept current taxes and assessments, which are to be <br />pro-rated as of the date of transfer. <br />The Solicitor is directed to carry out a].1 requirements <br />to obtain said fee simple title, and is authorised to obtain the <br />proper description of said premises, cause a title search to be made <br />of said property. The City is to pay the expense of the transfmr <br />of said parcel and title bond and the expense of establishing a new <br />line dis~ant ninet3* (90) feet easterly and parallel to the present <br />westerly boundary of said premises. <br />The Auditor is authorised and directed to pay the considera- <br />tion of said purchase at the rate of Thirty-Five I}ollars 035.00) par <br />foot frontage or a total consideration of Three Thousanc~l One Hundred <br />Fifty Dollars (~3,150.00~, payable One Hundred Dollars 0100.00) upon <br />the si Wing of the option, and the balance of Three Thousand Fifty Do~- <br />lars (3,050.00, when the abstract eoapany certifies the title good <br />in the City of North Olmsted, Ohio, from the fund created from the <br />sale of the bonds hereinbefore mentioned. <br />This is 3n ernsrgency measure necessary for the public health, <br />peace, safety and welfare and to provide necessary real estate for the <br />future construction of a fire house. <br />ATTEST: <br />r,~; .. <br />.
