SING THE AP~IOUNT OF TAXES BY I,EVS' AT THE l~TAXIr~Lrn, hAW WITHOUT A VOTE OF INSUFFICIENT AND DEC3~ARING IsEEVY Ird EXCESS OF SUCH BE IT RESO~.VED BY THE COUNCI3, OF THE CITY OF NORTH OId~,STED, STATE OF OHIO, two-thirds of all members elected thereto concurring; Section 1. That the amount of taxes that may be raised by the levy of taxes at the maximum rate authorized by Section.. 5705.02 of the Revised Statutes of Ohio on the taxable property in the City of North Olmsted will be insufficient to provide an adequate amount for the necessary requirements of said City and that it is necessary for the purpose of providing additional funds for current expenses of the City of North Olmsted that taxes be levied ora the taxable property in said City for the period of two years at a rate in excess: of such maximum rate authorized by Section 5705.02 of the Revised Statutes of Ohio. Section 2. That it is necessary to levy said taxes referred to in Section l hereof, for the years 1955 and 1956 (tax years of 1954 and 1955) at the rate for each year of three mills o~ each dollar of the tax valuation which amounts to thirty cents (30¢) for each one hundred dollars (100.00). of valuation, of the taxable property within the City of North Olmsted in excess of the rate authorized by said Section 5705.02 o f the Revised Statutes of Ohio, which is a renewal of the present levy to the extent of 2.5 mills and an increase of .5 mills to constitute a tax of 3 mills to run for two years. Section 3. That the proposed tax levy shall be submitted to the Electors of the Gity of forth Olmsted, Ohio, at a Special Election to be held on Tuesday, February 15, 1955 in the said City, and the Glerk of this Council be and he is hereby directed to certify a copy of this Resolution forthwith to the Deputy State Supervisors and Inspectors of Elections of Cuyahoga County, Ohio, in order that said Supervisors and Inspectors of Elections may make the necessary arrange- ments for the submission of such question to the Electors of said City, and all of which they are hereby respectfully directed to do. Section ~.. That the form of Ballot to be submitted to the Electors of the Gity of North Olmsted, Ohio, at said Special Election on Tuesday, February 15, 1955, shall read substantially as follows: PROPOSED TAX LEVY A Fifty-Five Percent Affirmative Vote is Required for Passage. CITY OF NORTH OIMSTED, OHIO A renewal of two and five tenths (2.5) mills and an increase of five tenths (,5) mill to constitute a tax for the benefit of the City of North Olmsted for the purpose of providing funds for current expenses at a rate not exceeding three (3) mills for each one dollar of valuation: which amounts to thirty cents (.30} for each one hundred dollars (~100.0~) o f valuation, for two years, to wit: 1955 and 1956.
