ORDINANCE N0. ,~~' +~ ~' <br />~- <br />~~ / ~, <br />BY: 1-~ ~ f AN ORDINANCE REGULATING COrdNECTI0N5 <br />WITH FIRE HYDRANTS IN THE CITY OF <br />VOftTH OLMSTED , OHIO <br />BE IT ONDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OL~~iSTED , <br />STATE OF OHIO, that: <br />Any person, firm or corporation, before opening or connecting <br />with afire hydrant, for the purpose of obtaining water there from, <br />in the City of North Olmsted, shall obtain a permit to make such open- <br />ing or connection from the Director of Public Service. <br />Equipment and wrenches furnished by the City shall be used in <br />making such opening or connection and the same shall be returned <br />promptly to the City. <br />Any opening or connection shall not continue for a period <br />longer than thirty days, unless authorized by the Cirector of Public <br />Service. <br />Upon obtaining a permit to open or connect to afire hydrant, <br />the applicant for such permit shall deposit with the Director of Pub- <br />lic Service the some of Twenty-Five ~~25.00) Dollars. <br />1rJhen the opening to afire hydrant is closed or a connection <br />discontinued, the City shall refund the sum of Twenty Dollars ~ X20.00) <br />to the applicant and retain Five Dollars 05.00) of said deposit for <br />water and equipment used, <br />Any violation of this ordinance shall be deemed a misdemeanor <br />and be punishable by a fine not exceeding Forty-Nine Dollars ~~1+9.00} <br />and costs. Each day's violation shall consist of a separate offense <br />and be punishable accordingly. <br />This i s an emergency measure necessary for the public health, <br />peace and safety and to properly regulate the use of and connections <br />with fire hydrants in the City of North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />PASSED : ;-'~~7-.- ~° j 9 ~ ..j <br />ATTEST: ~ ... ~H; <br />C _\. <br />E.
