x ~+ <br />,,~ .. <br />ORDINANCE NO . ~ ~' o ~ <br />BY: 'l~ °~~""~,~c..,>.- AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A FIREMEN t S <br />RELIEF AND PENSION FUND AND PROVIDING <br />FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF A BOARD OF <br />TRUSTEE OF SUCH FUND IN ACCORDANCE <br />WITH SECTION 4600 AND FOLLOWING <br />SECTIONS OF THE GENERAL CODE OF OHIO. <br />Whereas, the City of North Olmsted, Ohio has not heretofore <br />established a Firemen's Relief and Pension Fund, and <br />Whereas, this Council now desires to establish such fund as <br />provided by the statutes of Ohio relating thereto. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, STATE OF OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. A Firemen's Relief and Pension Fund be and is <br />hereby established and there shall be levied., beginning with the year <br />1953, a tax of three-tenths of a mill on each dollar upon all real <br />and personal property as listed for taxation in the City for the pur- <br />pose of providing funds for the payment of benefits and pensions from <br />the Firemen's Relief and Pension Fund and all revenues derived from <br />such levy shall be credited to such fund. <br />Section 2. A Board of Trustees, the members of which shall <br />be known as Trustees of the Firemen's Relief and Pension Fund is <br />hereby created and established. Such Board shall consist of six <br />members; two of whom shall be selected by the Council of the City <br />from its own members; two shall be elected by the Fire Department <br />of the City from its own department; and the two remaining members <br />shall be residents of the City and not members of the Council or <br />Fire Department or public employees. One of such members shall be <br />chosen by the two members selected by the Council and one shall be <br />chosen by the two members of the Fire Department. <br />Section 3. The Trustees of the Firemen's Relief and Pension <br />Fund shall adopt such rules and regulations for the management of <br />said fund and for the disbursement of benefits and pensions as they <br />deem necessary to comply with the requirements of law. <br />
