ORDINANCE NO . ~ ~' o ~ BY: 'l~ °~~""~,~c..,>.- AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A FIREMEN t S RELIEF AND PENSION FUND AND PROVIDING FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF A BOARD OF TRUSTEE OF SUCH FUND IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 4600 AND FOLLOWING SECTIONS OF THE GENERAL CODE OF OHIO. Whereas, the City of North Olmsted, Ohio has not heretofore established a Firemen's Relief and Pension Fund, and Whereas, this Council now desires to establish such fund as provided by the statutes of Ohio relating thereto. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, STATE OF OHIO, THAT: Section 1. A Firemen's Relief and Pension Fund be and is hereby established and there shall be levied., beginning with the year 1953, a tax of three-tenths of a mill on each dollar upon all real and personal property as listed for taxation in the City for the pur- pose of providing funds for the payment of benefits and pensions from the Firemen's Relief and Pension Fund and all revenues derived from such levy shall be credited to such fund. Section 2. A Board of Trustees, the members of which shall be known as Trustees of the Firemen's Relief and Pension Fund is hereby created and established. Such Board shall consist of six members; two of whom shall be selected by the Council of the City from its own members; two shall be elected by the Fire Department of the City from its own department; and the two remaining members shall be residents of the City and not members of the Council or Fire Department or public employees. One of such members shall be chosen by the two members selected by the Council and one shall be chosen by the two members of the Fire Department. Section 3. The Trustees of the Firemen's Relief and Pension Fund shall adopt such rules and regulations for the management of said fund and for the disbursement of benefits and pensions as they deem necessary to comply with the requirements of law.
