ORDINAVCE i~0. 9'a <br />BY : ~1~~~ I a~~G~.,v1~ ~1Ty ORDITIANCE TO LEVY SPECIAL ASSESSI~iEI~TS <br />FOR THE Ti~iPROVEI~IENT OF CANTERBURY ROAD , <br />FROT~~ LORA IN ROAD - NORTH , TO THE NORTHERLY <br />LINE OF THE COE RIDGE Ii~VESTMENT CO. <br />21~1~9.05 g~~T FROM LORAIN, BY CON'STRUCT- <br />ItVG THF,REIN A WATER MAIN. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLI~STED , OHIO : <br />Section 1. That the assessment of the cost and expense of irnprov- <br />ing Canterbury Road, from Lorain Road - north, to the northerly line of <br />the Coe Ridge Investment Co. 2~.~.9.05 feet from Lorain, by constructing <br />therein a water main, amounts in the aggregate to X24,300.00, as reported <br />to this Council by the City Engineer, notice of the filing of which assess- <br />ment has been given, as required by law, be and the same is hereby adopted <br />and confirmed and that there be and is hereby levied upon all of the lots <br />and land bounding and abutting upon Canterbury Road from Lorain Road - <br />North , to the northerly line of the Coe Ridge Investment Co . 2449.0 5 feet <br />from Lorain, by constructing therein a water main, the seveY-e.l..amo~unts <br />reported as aforesaid, which assessments, together with the description <br />of said lots and lands, are now on file in the office of the Clerk of <br />this Council, and which assessments are at the rate of X5.3761 per front <br />foot and are not in excess of the special benefits to said property. <br />Section 2. That the total assessments against each lot or parcel <br />of land shall be payable in cash within thirty days from and after the <br />passage of this ordinance, or at the option of the owners, in ten annual <br />installments with interest at the same rate as shall be borne by the bonds <br />to be issued in anticipation of the collection of the same. All cash <br />payments shall be made to the ~aeeasurer of said City. All assessments <br />and installments thereof remaining unpaid at the expiration of said <br />thirty days shall be certified by the Clerk of this Council to the County <br />Auditor, as provided by law, to be by him placed on the tax duplicate and <br />collected as other taxes are collected. <br /> <br />
