ORDINAiUCE NO. ~.~,,.~' e77~ <br /> <br />q ,a;~ f( p~",. <br />/~ <br />~; <br />ON.DINANCE PFtOHIBITI~~tG SPkINKLI~`~(~ Ors' <br />L~~~rV~VS ANL GARDE'1S . <br />Whereas , the supply of water to the City of Forth Olmsted and <br />all other municipalities located in the Fir;~t High Service area is er~t3_re- <br />ly inadequate to provide for the needs of t~~ie people living in such area, <br />and <br />Whereas, such shortage of water creates and presents serious prob- <br />lems in the way of maintenance of public health and public safety, and <br />Whereas, the 1~tayor of Cleveland,in conformity with the contracts <br />the City of Cleveland has entered into with suburban municipalities to <br />furnish water, ordered all municipalities in said Service Area to pro- <br />hibit sprinkling from the hours of 12 noon to 6 A..i~i. and has requested <br />the proper officials of the municipalities effected to enforce such order. <br />THEREFORE , 3E IT ORD~'-.II~ED BY THE COUNCIL 0 ± 'iHE CITY OF i~ORTr <br />OLi~~STED , SThTE OF OHIO , `l'HAT <br />No person, firm or corporation shall use or permit to be used any <br />water furnished by the City of Cleveland, C)hio for sprinkling ar water- <br />ing any lawn , yard , garden or field between the hours of 12 noon and 6 ~~ .vr . <br />Such sprinkling or watering of lawns , yards , gardens and fields i s <br />hereby prohibited. <br />Any violation of this ordinance shall be deemed a misdemeanor and <br />shall be punishable by a fine not exceeding ten dollars and costs.
